Village Center Shopping Center — Local services in Bensalem Township

A VERY WELL mainted older shopping center that has remained reliable and stable because most of its teneats have been in business for decades serving the many residents of Korman’s Kingdom (aka Neshaminy Valley) and the surrounding suburban sprawl. Village Center has almost every type of shop you may seek, not all at winners, but given the current state of retail this center could be run down and plagued with vacancies.

Glad to see Diana’s still open, under new ownership and I wish the energetic owners the best of luck! The Chinese joint is quality and lovely. The beer store has always been great! ACME could step it up a bit and reduce their prices moreso, but she’s a local institution and grateful it’s not a pathmark or worse a dollar general. Yet to hear any glowing reviews (or any reviews tbh) on Kelly’s and the place is always crickets. Not good. Susan’s Hallmark doing her part by holding that corner (and many of us) down when you need a last minute gift or the like.

Part of me longs for the days when DAN EL Sporting Goods and Carvel Ice Cream rounded out the local lineup. Tons of fond memories at both spots. GD I hella miss that...

I always try to support new business. There's a new Flower Shop (next to the Tobacco shop). Worst experience ever. I always enjoy watching bouquets being made, but there was barely any inventory available for the bouquet, and I was totally distracted by the owner's two years old son playing on the counter. This counter is at least 4 feet high and had her son fallen, could have resulted in serious, if not potentially fatal injuries. The Owner just blew off my suggestion that it was dangerous for her child to be up there. Should have gone to Acme's floral department as I usually do and buy a $15.00 arrangement, instead of the lackluster bouquet that I paid almost $25.00 for, along with a severe case of anxiety from watching the child. Completely unprofessional and most likely won't last six months unless major changes are made in inventory, and have designated area in the back of the shop for her child's play area. I support all parents who have to bring their kids to work, as long as their safety and well being are...

Wow, the cashier in acme was so arrogant on Sunday June 23 2019. HE ASKED ME IF I WANTED MY BONUS (WHATEVER IT'S CALLED) ADDED FOR GAS AND I REPLIED, YES. SO, HE CONTINUES TO RING UP MY ENTIRE ORDER ME THINKING MY NUMBER COULD BE ADDED AFTER MY ORDER WAS COMPLETE FOR THE GAS DISCOUNT. HOWEVER, AFTER the entire order for 159.00 worth of groceries was rung up, the cashier told me he couldn't put my card in for the gas bonus because his register wasn't working right?!?! I asked him how can I get my credit and he said the only way was to redo the entire purchase. Now, remind you I had and was shopping with and for my 85 year old mother who was hungry and needed dinner. So I refused the offer to ring up my order for a second time as my mother's dinner would have been cold and the wait was already long enough. What is this guy doing?!?! Putting gas credit on his personal account?!?! I'm sick to my stomach with such treatment. It's like he...
