Supervalu — Local services in Benson

Not impressed. My son and I walked in and right away one of the middle aged cashier's and an elderly lady started gossiping about my son and I. We grab the two items we needed and went to to the ladies counter to get rung up and she was still gossiping with the customer. She told my son and I that we have to go to register one cuz she had to take her till down. I'm like really... You can stand there and gossip but you don't have customer service.... So my son and I walk over to another register. I happen to turn around and customers are waking up to her till to get rung up, and she is helping them..... REALLY??? REALLY? I shook my head at her. Never will I ever be back at that store. Customer service is the number one key...

Love this little grocery store. I don't like calling it little, but it's not a huge grocery store. Staff are wonderful, very eager to help, and their service is exceptional. Quality as well a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. With 2 grocery stores in the town of Benson, they have managed to offer many things the other store in town don't carry, so they are not really competing. Even if you're shopping elsewhere, it is definitely worth the time to make this store a part of your weekly grocery shopping routine! Their weekly specials are wonderful...

Minimal choices and so very expensive. I do not understand how people on a fixed income can buy food and healthy food at that. I know it's difficult in smaller towns but please consider lowering your prices. I would load up my cart if I didn't feel like I was being taken to the cleaners. I won't shop there.
