The camp ground was pretty nice. Not too big, not too small. We used our small rv to camp for the weekend. But was ruined by a very rude staff member named Steve. When we first arrived the lady at the front desk was very nice and sweet. She gave us 2 options of a camp site that we could choose from. We chose one that was in the back by the trees. Very nice area to set up camp for our rv. Well, come the next day around the afternoon Steve from the office comes by to check our paperwork and said that someone else reserved the spot we were staying in. I gave him my paperwork and was trying to explain to him that the office lady let us choose our spot but he kept talking over me and did not want to hear why I was in the spot I was in. He went back to the office to check the paperwork and then came back 20 minutes later while me and the other family were waiting to see where they could set up camp since there seemed to be a mix up with the booking. He basically told us that we shouldn’t even be in the spot we were in and that we needed to move to another spot so the family that just got here wouldn’t be inconvenienced. I told him that the lady at the office gave us this spot the night before and it’s not our fault and we shouldn’t be inconvenienced as well and have to move. I asked him if the other spot he was trying to have us moved to was still opened if the family could just go there? They were not unpacked yet and it would be a very simple fix to the situation. Well he still insisted that we pack up our site and move to the other spot. I disagreed with him because it was not our fault that the bookings got messed up at the office. I was told by the office staff that I could camp here and that I’m not moving. Long story short, Steve was very rude about this situation and didn’t care to hear what I had to say and that I was in the wrong. He was VERY rude to the office lady when she was nice and helpful with me. He then finally rudely said I and my family could stay where we were and the other family got a different spot. Would’ve been an easy fix. He should be fired from here because of the way he treated myself, the guests and the other staff. Very clean bathrooms and overall clean park. Won’t be coming back if he is still...
Read moreWe recently booked a two day stay at Eden Springs with the hope of visiting the City of St. Joseph and neighboring attractions. We left the very next morning as fast as possible. Let me elaborate. We arrived around 9pm on Friday evening. The camp ground appeared to be absolutely dead, very eerie. There were no campfires going that we could see. Only one or two individuals where outside. We did meet a stray cat and stray dog. When we got to our site, there was no campfire ring and no picnic table provided. There was a row street lights running through the camp ground, very similar to what you would normally see in a parking lot, not at a campsite. It took me a while to locate the water connection, it was covered by an old styrofoam box???, seriously.
In order to access the utilities, I had to park our camper on a portion of land that had quite a grade. I needed to lift one side as high as 4 inches in order to get even close to level. But of course that can be done with blocks. The real issue, however, was that the soil was too soft and the camper sunk, causing it the slide off of the tongue block, with my wife inside the camper. Thank goodness no one was injured. The tongue stand sunk into the soil about 9 inches. After this, I moved the camper to another position of the site, that had less of a grade. In order to be safe, I decided to forget being level. In this position, however, I could not access the drain. Enough...
Read moreI was informed that the campground overcharges for power and frequently engages in deceptive practices. If you confront them about these issues, they may resort to ban you from returning. Fortunately, I was adequately warned, and I have given them a one-star rating (which I have since changed to a negative) to draw attention to their shortcomings. It is important to note that if I had the authority, I would have placed a negative rating in front of each star.

No, Cathy, I am not confused with another campground. I have never stated that I have stayed there, but I have visited it. However, it is not possible to charge customers the same rates as the Indiana-Michigan power company. RVs, campers, and other recreational vehicles use such a low amount of power that it is challenging to accurately determine their exact usage. Therefore, they have established a minimum usage rate. Customers are charged based on their actual usage, which is significantly higher than the rates charged by the power company. It is fortunate that you do not own a power company, as we would be financially struggling if we did. Be fair to your customers by accurately measuring their power usage.
Furthermore, if you re-examine my post at the beginning of this conversation, you will notice that I have never explicitly stated that I have stayed at the campground. However, I am acquainted with individuals who have visited the campground and whom I will not disclose...
