Restaurant Review: Food was awfully bland. Quesadilla was just burnt cheese greasy mess and way too salty. My daughter could not eat it. Tacos de lengua and pastor also very bland. Customer service was terrible , waitress didn’t not acknowledge us when we got there and was very short with us when we failed to realized people dining in had to get in line to order. What a backwards place .

Coming from the Michiana Indiana area I would advise anyone in Benton Harbor to go explore different locations for authentic Mexican food and baked goods ! Skip this place. Drive to South Bend or Mishawaka , even maybe Niles . Not too far from you but worth the drive. Don’t deprive yourself from good food !

Store Review: As far as the store itself I will they had a wide array of selection of Mexican produce. Store cashier was nice but lacked knowledge on the bus from Mexico coming in.

Mexican bread Review: Also bland . They are huge but not very sweet and very dry. When I first saw the bread I bought 7 different types to compare. Compared to other bakeries I have been to the bread was bigger than what I am used to so that was nice. But I see why now , the flavor was the same and bland on all the bread. I thought wow this is a good price for such big portions, but you give up flavor . I rather pay more for more flavorful portions . Go elsewhere for Mexican Bread.

I go in probably like once a month to buy over 40 pieces of pan Dulce for my gatherings. I always go in ask for a white box for my pan and then get a clear bag to put the box in. No issues at all. Today the service was just bad and they left me standing there like I didn’t know if I was the issue or what was the big deal. I paid my pan Dulce between 3pm and 3:15. The cashier guy was really nice about getting me a big box for all my pan, the issue was getting the bag to cover the box. I asked him for it and he sent me to the ladies at the register where they make the food. I went over and asked the lady at the register. The Lady went to the back, then came back and asked the other lady for the bag and they talked between them, then they were like what bag what for? I said to cover the box for the pan Dulce they looked confused so I told them the guy at the register told me to go to them then they start yelling from where they make the food to to front of the store telling the guy he needs to help me with my bag and that he needs to go get it. Then I’m just left there standing with all the people staring at me like I had an issue when all I needed was to get a bag for my box. The food was decent when I finally was able to get the correct order. This was after having to return into the restaurant and explain that they didn't get it right 3 times. The woman running the counter claimed to be the sister of the owner. This very unprofessional and hateful woman caused my 14 year old daughter to cry claiming that she didn't know how to order and was one of the most rude people Id ever dealt with and kept making the order on flour tortillas when my daughter clearly ordered corn. She lied to me when I went in and said that my daughter ordered flour when I know that is not in any way true due to the fact that my daughter will not eat flour tortillas only corn. I feel it necessary to mention however that this is the very first time that I have ever had anything but pleasantries when dealing with this restaurant and I'm hoping this woman's brother will see this review and weed out the bad seeds as to get back to the fine restaurant I've visited in the past!
