ALDI — Local services in Berlin

I love Aldi. Its a simple, less expensive, less stressful shopping trip than most grocery stores.

This new location is a great store that offers more than the Salisbury location. Same great prices, but the "Aisle of Shame" (the aisle where you get lost in space and time and come out with pajamas, a hammock, and candles) has a lot to offer. I just bought three pieces of furniture all for under $100. Satin pajamas for $7.50. Kitchen canisters for $7.50. And squishmallows for under $10. The list goes on, you just gata go in for yourself.

The staff are always friendly, the store is clean and well-stocked. The key to shopping at Aldi is figuring out which Aldi brand stuff you like and going from there. I do most of my shopping at Aldi, and supplement with purchases at Food Lion or Walmart for items Aldi doesn't carry.

Monday morning midday. 10 or 12 people in line, which is not moving because the ONE cashier had a problem. The manager eventually came and resolved the problem. She looked at the long line and walked away. I don't care if it's summer, we're at the beach, we're saving money or any of that. If you have that many customers in line you need to open a second register or get a self-serve check out. The line just wasn't moving. I put my stuff back and left. My first time in this Aldi's and only the 2nd time all together. I wasn't really impressed with the one in Salisbury when they first opened and haven't been back. Today I was riding by Walmart and decided to stop at Aldi to check it out. What a beautiful store, clean, bright and lots of room. Everything looked fresh in the produce and meat departments.
