Big C Lumber Co — Local services in Berrien Township

Today was the worst experience I've had dealing with Big C. We've used them for the entirety on this 1,300' fence project. Today Hunter Williamson shows us with our delivery of 89 2x6s Hunter backs up to the drop site and raises the bed ignoring me waving screaming and trying to grab his attention. 3 of the boards are 14' and my the journey never tied down, so I was grabbing them off the pile as he raised the bed. I was expecting him to extend the bed of the truck to the ground and gradually slide them off the truck. Nope he just raised the bed high as possible and dumped the lumber from 7-8' in the air. Lumber landed so hard I heard all the bottom boards crack and split to various degrees. When I ran up to the truck to say something and tell him to take the lumber back he could barely hear because he had air pods in his ears. When myself and other workers confronted him about not listening/hearing or even seeing me he replied he can't see thru a bed nor hear when the trucks running. As you can see this guy had on reflective glasses and air pods in his ear as well as a hands free microphone. He continued to get mouthy with myself and 2 other workers telling us we're lucky he don't leave the lumber and just take off as there's nothing we can do about it. Needless to say he hand loaded 56 of the 89 boards back onto the truck and left... DO NOT EVER LET Hunter deliver to your job site. Find out who the driver is first. Management was kind over the phone but I'm not sure how serious they took the complaint. This has added a full additional day to our job now as well.
