Hometown Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Pipestone Township

I order take out from here every now again, and I've turned my coworkers into customers as well. Sometimes our office will buy lunch for us from here. BUT...that's probably going to change after my recent visit. I chose this place for a late lunch recently. I ordered a burger and fries with a side of ranch and mozzarella sticks. I drove in to pick it up. I got there just as the food was ready, paid and even left a couple bucks as a tip (as I usually do, even for pick up and go orders). I got home, and discovered cheese curds instead of cheese sticks. I, personally, do not like the curds. They taste a little too sour/sharp for me. The burger was ok, but didn't have the side of ranch. I called, and the same lady who took my order answered. I explained the main issue, I got curds (which I won't eat because I don't like them) instead of cheese sticks. Her response was literally "ok?" Not. I'm sorry, or how can I fix it. Just simply "ok?" Then she says there's nothing she can do unless I bring them back. I live kinda close, but not that close, to where the burger and fries would have still been fresh and warm, to go back. I guess, as a repeat customer, maybe I was hoping for a credit for an order of cheese sticks next time, or something to make up for the 6 or 7 dollars I threw in the trash. So, yeah, I'll be remembering this next time I'm looking for a place to order...

Hubby & I visited Saturday July 20th and were very impressed. Space was clean, well lit and inviting upon first entering. We were greeted as soon as we entered by Jill and she really made the experience what it was. She was so friendly and outgoing. Gave recommendations and kept our sodas flowing. She checked on us multiple times and did a great job connecting with us personally. Food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. Hubby had a steak wrap with fries and wings, I had Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and bbq chicken flatbread. Hubby was able to customize his wrap and said it was seasoned well and tasted good. I enjoyed the bbq flatbread as it was balanced well and had plenty of sauce. Egg rolls were delicious and I enjoyed the serving size of the salsa and sour cream. The absolute star of the meal were the bbq wings. They were done to perfection! They had the perfect amt of crisp, the center was juicy and flavorful and the bbq sauce flavor was good and well balanced! We both agreed they may be the best wings in the area. We will...

My husband and I are camping nearby and after reading the reviews, we decided to have dinner here last night. This is a hole-in-the-wall bar/restaurant in the small town of Eau Clare. I don't know if they were shortstaffed last night, but the guy working the bar and waiting on tables at the same time was wonderful. He was very sweet and accommodating.
