I've always been very happy with the service I have had there. I haven't ever bought an appliance from them but my Grandparents have, many of which are in their house today.
They one me over a year or two ago when the dial on my grandparent's old range top broke. I carried the broken dial around with me in my car for probably a year. Then one day, I was just driving through Roseland just because it was Sunday and I enjoy driving around the area and exploring on Sundays (I'm new to the area.. and I like to drive around) and happened to notice that they were open at like 5:30 PM on a Sunday and, assuming that was where my grandfather bought the range in the first place, decided to take it in and see if they could order me the dial. The gentleman that was at the desk brought out a box of many random dials, pulled the one I needed out and, 5 minutes and $3.50 later, the dial was replaced after a year!
The second time I went was for the same reason. Ironically, a few days after replacing the one dial, another one cracked. Sure enough, I returned, they handed me the box and said to go at it! There seemed like 100 or so dials there, all the right dial but with the wrong markings! It took me ten minutes this time but I found one! It may have taken ten minutes but, this time, it cost me nothing! They just gave it to me for free!
I need to buy a refrigerator and I plan on buying...
Read moreedited Jan 28...but leaving the original review up Edit to add: After upper management was informed of what's gone on, they have done everything they can to make things right. The manufacturer is not making things easy...so there hasn't been a total resolution yet. I believe, wholeheartedly, that Camden's upper management and sales team care deeply for their customers. I also believe that the issues that lead to my irritations will be addressed in house. I feel it's important to share the fact that, as a company, they have gone above and beyond...once the right people were informed.
I had originally only given 1 star. I've edited that to 3 stars now. I would put them at 5 if it weren't for the initial frustrations with their lower level employees.

Read moreI recently moved and was in need of a stackable washer and dryer. I like to support local so rather than going to A big box store I decided on Camden's. I went online to see their inventory and found a stackable set that I was interested in. Before I purchased online I called the store and spoke to a very nice lady. My main question was "If I purchase something online can I come the same day and pick it up?" She advised that I make sure I was selecting from the Niles store and then told me that what I see online is indeed their current inventory. I hung up from that call and bought the set, it was a little less than $1200. After work my dad and I were headed to Camden's to pickup the purchase when I received a call from an older gentleman at Camden's who stated "that unit was already sold and we are refunding your card" No I'm sorry, no mention of "that set is sold but this one is available", nothing, Just a smug, sorry about your luck attitude. I was so disappointed in the customer service. I live in the community and thought old fashioned customer service was just what I would get at Camden's, nope.
