Dollar General — Local services in Bessemer

I love this Dollar General . They have one of the best managers at the store location that I have ever seen at any Dollar General that is he is a very sweet nice looking gentleman he's black with dreads and he has very good customer service skills and always make the customer feel right nose above and beyond to make sure the customer has what they need .I have their app that always tells me when the good deals are coming I love being able to use the app to scan the items right there in the store to see if there's a coupon or deal. Also I like to be able to check the price in the store with my phone. And I have very rarely ever had problems at a Dollar General except for one time at a store in Bessemer it was cold and I was wearing a big jacket I put my cell phone in my pocket the next thing I know the police show up and say that we were trying to steal that the lady saw me put something in my pocket so me and my husband had to empty out our pockets and it was a Friday and we're just got paid from both of us working 62 hours a week give or take because we were working for a seasonal company that hung Christmas lights so we were working from daylight to dark. My husband had over $1,000 in his pocket and I had around 8 or 900 and when the police saying that they was like why would you need to steal if you have money? And I ask myself the same thing and this was the store in Bessemer by visionland Parkway on Bessemer Super Highway. And he said did you put anything in your pocket and I said the only thing I put in my pocket with my phone everything else I had in my purse and they apologized for having to come out and ask us about a stealing but not once did the store...

The store seems new but there is normally stuff everywhere in the way, blocking the aisles. They normally don’t have the things you need or you have to look through the top shelves that are packed with random stuff. I only gave it two stars because the cashiers are friendly enough and don’t seem to look like they are in the pit of disparity that the overall atmosphere gives off. The shelves that do have stuff them tend to look like someone just walked through and with their arms out wide just pushed everything out of the way as they walked the entire aisle.
