Balance Massage — Local services in Bethany

Last spring, my husband bought me a $60 gift certificate for a 60 min massage at Balance Massage. Yesterday, I finally got some time to go get it done. When I went in to Balance Massage and presented them with the gift certificate to get the massage they REFUSED to give it to me and said they needed to talk to their boss. I thought it was so strange and to be honest I was completely put off by it. What we found out today is that they've changed owners. Exact same massage place (same signs, same location, SAME GIFT CERTIFICATES!).....just new owners. When my husband went in to see what the problem is they informed him that they WON'T HONOR THE GIFT CERTIFICATE. There's nothing stating that they're under new ownership and that all gift certificates sold under the previous owner aren't valid. And to be honest, in my opinion, when they bought the business they bought the obligations that were promised with services that were ALREADY SOLD! One more thing, they said that if he wants a refund that he needs to find the previous owner and get it from them!! So here I sit...unmassaged and my husband is out 60 bucks! Does this seem right?! Am I missing something here? (Other then a nice relaxed massaged...

BEWARE!!! if I can give zero star I would. I don’t know if this place is under a new owner but the ladies who gave massage to us doesn’t speak english which already made it hard to understand them to start with. The moment we stepped in, they already asked us to pay ( in a rudely manner ), won’t take credit card coz they wants us to pay in CASH. mind you I asked for a receipt but they didn’t give any. Secondly, both of them seem not to really know how to give a massage. the old lady was already hurting me the first 2 minutes because she was pinching my neck without even putting oil. she wasn’t even gentle in repositioning you. The 60 minutes massage was utterly hell, the worse ever massage me and my wife ever had. Oh lastly when they were done the very first thing they asked is for the tip!!! am like speechless of the audacity for them to ask for the tip eventhough they knew we weren’t satisfied. My wife gave them the tip ( just enough coz again they didn’t do a great job anyway ) and they even complained! LOL. Will never come and will definitely...

A very unpleasant experience here. The massage technique felt frantic and inconsistent—like someone who doesn’t know how to drive, slamming the gas and brake repeatedly. It felt like a roller coaster—constantly going up and down in a disorienting way. It made my heart race and even caused slight difficulty breathing. Rather than feeling relaxed, I left feeling worse than when I arrived.

The therapist kept leaving in the middle of the session whenever new customers came in. Despite paying for a full hour, the actual massage time was only around 45 minutes.

What disturbed me the most, however, was that the therapist kept pinching my nippless by her nails. By the end, they were sore and painful, and I have never experienced anything like that in any professional massage before. It was deeply uncomfortable and felt completely inappropriate.

I absolutely would not recommend this place and will not be returning. Don't waste...
