If there's one thing that the Delaware Valley doesn't lack is good farmer's markets. However, I feel that each has their own pull for me. For Booth's Corner, it's the little restaurants, deli counters and the eclectic shops inside that I like. This particular farmer's market is only 15 minutes from where I am which make this very convenient on the weekends for me. Unlike the New Castle Farmer's Market, this one is all indoors with no outdoor flea market, but it does have multiple levels and a whole variety of different stores. In general if there's one thing that I wish was a little better was the width of the halls inside. They are a little tight and since it's pretty busy when they are open can be a little claustrophobic for those wary of that, especially when the stalls are right up against it. The other note, while not necessarily a disadvantage depending on where you're coming from, is that it isn't my favorite farmer's market for produce when it comes to value as their stall charges a bit more than either New Castle or Newark. It's great quality of produce but you will pay a bit more for that quality. The deli and meat stands are awesome with a nice variety of meats and reasonable prices. There's also a stall that sells slow cooker-ready meals that are great for parties or meals with little preparation as well as a "discount" store that sells general wares. There's even a couple stands that sell antiques (or "vintiques" depending on what they have). Might become a go-to for my deli meats and I want to try some of their meats. What will make me a repeat customer though are the little restaurants inside. Massimo's (which I reviewed separately) has great value as a place to grab a slice of pizza. There's a taco stand as well as a Dutch Country restaurant. They even have a stall for the 4th Street Cookies so you don't have to go all the way to Reading Terminal for them - try them, they do not disappoint. They also have an awesome water ice/treat stand as well with lots of sweet treats and Reading Draft sodas. As I said, I will definitely plan on coming here again and again, likely as a place to try some interesting food and maybe find a good deal on some "vintiques" that pique...

Best of Booths Corner:
Donut Haven is legendary. Watch their faithful fans/followers/disciples line up as they sell out of Cinnamon buns early every single weekend. They even ship across the country. Plain, walnut, raisin, etc-- Perfection.
Christopher's Crabcakes has the best crab cakes around. This is also your one-stop shop for Almond Crusted Flounder, Grouper and of course, their famous, plump and meaty crab cakes. There's no need for a visit to a local seafood restaurant when Christopher's fare paired with a few minutes in an air fryer will yield a superior meal for far less.
Arctic Wolf Springwater: This shop has an extensive selection of coffee and drink pods. They also sell bottled spring water and some of the best Pound Cake you've ever tasted-- baked by Philadelphia's legendary 'Stocks Bakery'.
The Man Cave: Pretty much what you'd expect from a shop with that name. Awesome selection of men's hats, leather belts, Dr Squatch soaps, wall clocks and watches, hot sauces-- and even a section with jewelry and gifts for the ladies.
Sherbourne Ceramics: This Ceramics Store is run by husband and wife shop owners, Walt and Norma. Their shop is well-stocked, literally from floor to ceiling with everything you could want to create in ceramic.
UPDATE: Back at Booths Corner today with all the familiar places and faces-- The best chipped corned beef from Fisher's Deli, fresh pastries from the Amish bakery right next to Fishers and a shout out to Emily at TJs who is always friendly and takes good care of her customers. Good burgers at TJ's and even better...
Read moreLarge Farmer's Market where you can get puppies, jewelry, furniture, fresh baked goods, seafood, meats, Amish, etc. Although this market is only open on Friday's and Saturdays, they do one heck of a business on those 2 days. You can get pretty much anything your heart desires. Stop by the Amish Bakery & Deli and pick up some delicious pies, breads, and a variety of Long John Donuts. In the mood for homemade peanut or cashew butter? You'll be able to find freshly ground nut butters in different varieties. My personal favorite is cashew or the honey roasted cashew butters. Accompany it with freshly made thin jumbo rice cakes or freshly baked toasting bread add fresh preserves, and you've got yourself a delicious fresh protein packed lunch or snack without a bunch of artifical preservatives. How about some fresh dried beef for everyones favorite creamed dried beef. Mix the dried beef with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Heat through and pour over some toast points and baked beans. You've got yourself a quick and easy meal whenyou get home. More time to shop. Right? They have a nice selection of cheeses, olive loaf, pimento loaf in the deli. Everything is very fresh. And the workers are all so pleasant, helpful and friendly. Pick up some tasty peanut clusters. Perfectly salted peanuts and hard caramel cut into 1" chunks. So delicious, I bet you can't stop at one. In the mood for crab cakes? Head to the back end and pickup freshly made crab cakes that you can get cooked while you wait, precooked to reheat at home (they even include instructions), or cook them at home fresh from the market. While you're at it, grab some of their homemade potato salad, Cole slaw, or any of their other offerings. In the mood for Italian? Soup? BBQ? You'll be able to find whatever you're craving. They have so many offerings that you'll return again and again to try them all. Looking for beautiful hand crafted furniture. You'll also find it here. Gorgeous dining and bedroom sets.
