My family and I have recently went to see if he could have rings resized and to be fixed. We did ask for one ring not to be touched and have him fix the others. All 3 of my rings he ruined. He plated one ring because he thought it was white gold and when it was yellow. He buffed off the top layer. The ring was a straight row of diamonds that is now crooked when all I wanted was the ring to be resized. My 15 ring, was a heart and it bent up the heart and I wanted the heart pushed back flat and fix the cracks of where the heart bent up, and he soldered the rings and left the cracks untouched. We had a cat ring resized, he stretched it out so thin on one side that it’ll just crack. We asked him to add a little bit of more gold to the band to make it more sturdy, and he didn’t. The cat ring is indented on the inside of the band. I am so extremely disappointed in what happened. My rings are now ruined. Ontop of everything else his customer service was horrible. We could tell he was irritated when we pointed out the flaws in his work. We did take a watch prior to him and he was really rude over just a battery. I would not recommend this man and his service. Rings & Things seems to be great when replacing a watch battery. But anything more complicated is a challenge. I asked them to fix the clasp on a bracelet and was told the repair would cost more than what it’s worth. Since it was my grandmother’s I didn’t care since my wife wanted to wear it. I arrived a week after we dropped it off and was told it wasn’t ready and that we could pick it up at their other shop. I was traveling for a few weeks and then called to ask where should I pick it up, Booths Corner or their store. The gentleman on the phone said to pick it up at Booths Corner. When I arrived I was handed the bracelet and told it couldn’t be repaired. No reason, no explanation. When I asked the woman at the desk what the issue was and why didn’t someone tell me when I called, she looked at me as if it was my fault they couldn’t make the repair. I was at this vendor on May 21, I needed a battery for my wristwatch. I was asked for my first name and I was told to return in 15 mins. I went back and I was told the cost was $9.54, I think that was high, it was crowded, I took the watch, and within 15 mins, I looked at the watch, and it was not showing the correct time. I realized that this was not my watch, my watch was a blue face SEIKO WATCH, THE FACE WAS A MILAN????? AND NOT A BLUE FACE. I went back to the counter, 2 men looked at each other and asked me what I wanted, I WAS IN SHOCK, They don't give any receipts, etc and they said this is it, I am so upset, this is a THEFT of the inner workings of my SEIKO WATCH.
