Acme, Rite Aid, a small liquor store, the Grand East Buffet Chinese restaurant and right next door to Harry's Savoy Grill.

The Acme grocery store has a good selection and is well stocked. Very good produce, meats and seafood departments. Also a nice fresh flower selection with reasonable prices. You can save significantly with the free Acme app.

In the adjacent parking lot, Harry's Savoy is the 'go to' locally for quality steaks and prime rib. Try your beef "Oscar style" topped with fresh crab-- Excellent.

Several years on and Sweeney's bakery is still sorely missed.

*Grand East Buffet is a must try for lunch or dinner. A variety of sushi and Asian-style apps, soups, steamed and fried dumplings, egg rolls and spring rolls, veggies, rib bites, fried shrimp, chicken wings and much more.

Popular dishes like Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Kung Pao, Sesame, Chicken and Broccoli, etc., with steamed and fried rice options.

Last visit there was a huge self-carve beef roast on the buffet-- another time there was crispy roasted duck.

The seafood section has fresh mussels, shrimp and crawdads on ice. There's also salad greens and toppings, jello, puddings, an array of fresh fruits like cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon along with half a dozen choices of bite-sized desserts like cheesecake, chocolate, strawberry and coffee-flavored mini cakes and cream puffs.

Impressed how the friendly and attentive staff constantly refreshes all the selections at the various stations.

UPDATE: Have frequently been seeing nicely executed whole salmon filets and roasted duck on the buffet tables during recent visits. This summer the desserts buffet have consistently been stocked with fresh, cold watermelon slices, cantaloupe and honeydew melon along with all the usual mini creampuffs, bite-sized cakes...

Well there is no Safeway here but there is an Acme and their store was clean and well stocked I just had a problem with the bags they want you to pay 5 cents for 1 paper bag because Delaware you can only use plastic bags that are made with recyceled paper and there's so many stores that have them even Dollar general has them and this is a higher end market it's pathetic to charge for paper bags when the prices are higher than any market around if you go to Food lion their paper bags are free Family dollar paper and plastic bags are free and yes these Family Dollar stores have free bags I don't understand why ACME has to charge 5 cents per paper bag it's...

I went to the Acme there at the F&N Shopping Center off of Naamans Rd. It is very clean and the fried chicken is delicious and tgey have the best seafood and display case i have ever seen , it is always very clean and fresh. The employees in the seafood department are very nicw and helpful. Especially the one young lady Ashley that works in seafood she is always so happy and friendly and very helpful and will tell u how to save money by buying certain types of fish n having it cut up n filet. Also crabs are delicious when she cooks them with a portion of salmon seasoned with cilantro lime butter...
