I have just been through the construction project from hell. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, EXCEPT my closet. My closet design is everything I could hope for and the company itself was easy, professional and accommodating. In the middle of tearing down walls and ceilings, I called Closet by design and left a message regarding my interest. I also left a message with two other companies. Closet by design called me that same day and had Paulette Marino at my door with in a few hours to take measurements and discuss our wants and needs. It just so happened that she was in my area and as luck would have it, by the end of the day, we had two different designs to work with. We felt comfortable enough with Paulette, and she kept our designs on point within our budget. We decided to go forward with the project and Paulette came back the next day to go over everything, including the process from that point out. We were scheduled approximately a month out for installation which gave us time to continue on a with our construction, which unfortunately was not going well. We almost had to reschedule our installation. On the day of installation, our installation team arrived on time and were probably the happiest people I’ve met in a long time. They truly enjoyed what they were doing, they worked efficiently, professionally and were extremely respectful of my home. I will admit, after firing our contractor, my spouse was a little bitter and may have come off more intimidating than he needed to be, but these guys handled it like pros and knew the true meaning of customer service which eased my husband’s anxiety. In the end, I have an AMAZING closet and I would 100% recommend this company and Paulette to anyone...

The designer that came to our house was pleasant but overly talkative. She never once listened to what we wanted in our two closets that needed to be re-designed. She just went ahead and designed what she wanted despite what we told her. When it came time for installation, good thing I was working from home over seeing the install so I was able to make last-minute changes as I noticed what was being installed was not what we wanted. After the install was complete I noticed my expensive headphones were missing from my nightstand. My wife and I are the only ones that live in our house and no one else has been in our bedroom other than their installers. When told about the missing item, Management said they talked to their installers about it and then backed them up in denying they were involved. The headphones had been a Christmas present and been on my nightstand since they were opened. They never left the room and now they're gone. Management told me I probably just misplaced them. It's been over a month since the install and there is no sign of the headphones. The price we paid for the quality of what was installed didn't match. We felt we definitely over paid for what we got. I would never use this company again for anything nor would I recommend...

I started the process back in December 2021. Timing of installation which occurred in 2023 was due to scheduling changes on my end, not the Company. I was really impressed with the design process and follow up. The in-home visit was not rushed and very thorough with the objective of working within our budget to deliver what we were looking for. The office in Bethel, CT is to be commended for their patience and quality of customer service. I was so excited about installation day. The team of 2 arrived on time. Was very professional. Walked through the master closet area to make sure it was ready and once their walk through was complete, they got to work. There was light rain so they made sure to cover and protect the units when transported from their truck to the house. I had a couple of questions during the installation which they took the time to answer. I would use this location again and again. Thank you to Justin and his team of exceptional professionals. The materials we chose and the design layout exceeds expectations. Since the install, we've added motion activated lighting which creates a beautiful ambiance.
