April 2025 update ā
Bexley Natural Market has done a great job reinventing the business!
I had a great experience shopping there yesterday. I bought local asparagus that cooked up with great flavor. The marketās produce looked fresh, the milk and yogurt I bought had weeks left on their sell-by dates, and the fresh bread from Crumbs bakery in Athens was very tasty.
The young woman at the cash register was friendly and helpful.
Good for Bexley Natural Market for turning things around! ā- We've been members of this co-op for years. They do a terrific job, stocking a wide selection of high quality produce, nuts, dairy, loose tea, herbs, supplements, snacks, honey, Asian foods, gluten-free products, frozen food, cereal, baking needs, candy, grains, beans, farm-fresh eggs and toiletries. If you want something they don't stock, they are happy to order it. If a food is unfamiliar to you, they will tell you how to prepare it. The store is very clean, service is always with a smile, and in the summer there is a farmer's market on Wednesdays and monthly Sunday afternoon festivals. I especially like the fact that they offer local produce. I know spring is here when I see ramps at Bexley...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not a member but they offered me no help. Every question I asked they said ask a doctor. If you work at a herb store you should be familiar with what herbs help with conditions or have pamphlets on each herb. People come to health markets to get herbs to avoid going to doctors not to say they replace the doctors but the ultimate goal is self health. They donāt offer fresh herbs in store or the full plant that you can buy. It seems like their herbs are cultivated in a controlled environment and not from nature. And yes they do accept ebt but only on some products and when I asked which products they said you have to come in and ask for each product you want to be checked to see if it can be paid for with ebt. They have no information on their website as to what herbs they do offer so that you can know the prices of what you might want to buy so you know how much you want to purchase or so that you can make a list before going to the store or to do your research before you use your time and gas. The store has a nice set up but as I stated I didnāt get much help online...
