I can't really rate the course but thought I would post to let you know they are redoing the greens so it's all temporary greens until Nov 2022. I suggest Fling golf until then.
This has been an experience that highlights you shouldn't come to conclusions if you are in the dark.
I came to Keesler to visit my daughter who is training to forecast aviation weather. We are in TLF and about 8:40 pm I thought I would walk over to the course and check out the greens. It was dark before I got around the runway but I could still see the flags. I putted on the first green I came to and it was terrible. I ran into four or five other hole going the other way back to TLF and they were just as bad.
When I got back, I told my wife that I could mow our yard with our lowest setting and our yard would putt better than these greens. I also told her that the only use for this course might be for fling golf.
A few months ago, after seeing fling golf on Shark Tank, the 18 year old convinced me that getting a couple of these clubs was a good idea. Though we never took them to the course.
I decided this morning to go over and hit rangeballs and ironically as ironic gets while walking in from the parking lot I ran into a guy walking in with a couple Fling golf clubs. Turns out he is an ambassador of the sport and has done shows at Hilton Head during professional events and even played in the Fling Golf Open and did well.
He gave me a few pointers and I threw my first balls on a range. Manage a few throws of close to 150 yards. It will be fun to play a...
Read moreWhoever runs this place shouldn't be allowed near a golf course ever again. The rental club looked like a mix of goodwill finds and donations. We weren't able to pick our garbage set to play with since they "are all about the same." When I pointed out 2 completely unplayable clubs to the cashier he responded "alot of them look like that." Clearly. He at least threw the cracked driver to the side but the putter with a 45 degree bend got put right back in the bag. The greens are the only reason it's not a one star. I get that it's cheap but it's clear to me it's just a job to the management and they don't care. It's not hard to run an actual rental club system instead of the used estate sale...
Read moreThe cart paths could use some repaving, there's a lot of dips and potholes that don't help when the course floods. Other than that, you can't really help the wet conditions, just comes with the territory.
An otherwise very fun course. Challenging and mostly well-maintained. It can definitely be hard to do so in Biloxi but these guys do a pretty great job considering the conditions. Plus it's really fun playing right up next to the runway 👍
Chipped within 3 ft of the pin from about 55y out on hole 14 and hit my first 220y drive off the gold tee on hole 18! Had a great time today, thanks for all...
