Dollar General — Local services in Birmingham

I love this one in particular because its always easy to find things, and the young lady the manager ( with the red hair locks) is ALWAYS friendly, ive witnessed her numerous times getting at her team but in a customer respectful way and ensuring her staff is on point, she doesn't do it in a humiliating way, but you can tell this young lady is serious about her position and store, shes always busy at something but also ensures you find what you need. In an area like this, she's definitely a great combination of great customer service. And thats appreciated. May i add she has an AWESOME team as well, the gentlemen with the beard really tall he is never dry or dull great smile very helpful as well. Me and my brother went in the store on yesterday. The window was already busted out because someone had probably broken or rob the place or what not but the whole time I was in there everyone that worked there was watching me and my brother. Now previous times I went in about certain items Never had a problem, but oh yesterday me and my brother were being watched throughout the whole time that we was there and I end up paying over $70 for the items that I purchased and I felt like that was pretty rude and uncomfortable visit. I will never go back to the store again. I talked to my family and they told me that I should have put everything back and walk out of the store. Check...

I agree with everyone that this store is great, very clean & has great staff. The manager is nice. May need to check the stocking staff. I bought a jar of pickles and they were outdated. I should of checked myself but I was in a rush. I went back to return it and the guy didn't say much & he actually tighten the jar back. Now I hope he doesn't put it back on the shelf because if he does, a customer will be pretty upset. I took one bite after opening the jar & spit it back, so hopefully he threw that jar away. This is the only reason I'm giving this store 4 stars...
