Family Dollar — Local services in Birmingham

If I could put zero stars, I would. Store is very unclean. The shelves are disgusting and not wiped down from old food being spilled or stolen. The canned goods are mainly dented/damaged and collecting dust from being old. The frozen goods are half melted, if not spoiled,leaking onto other foods making them sticky and nasty. Cracked exposed raw eggs are at the bottom of the fridge seeping into juice cartons and other foods. The counters are unorganized and barely stocked correctly. Trash is always all over the floor along with the products and the isles are unorganized. The new store manager always sits on her phone and eats behind the counter along with her employees instead of ensuring that the store is in a presentable manner. This store does not deserve a 97 by the health department and needs to be closed for a day for a thorough cleaning. Too many people are in the store and not embracing the 6 feet rule during this COVID-19 pandemic while store manager is hiding all lysol and bleach products only giving it to her friends, making the employees lie to customers that they never received it. Being a former employee there, I am definitely disgusted with the front and back of the store and how it is ran by the store manager Nikki. Better management is needed...

I hate this dollar store location it always smells foul and I'm not sure if that's why they are currently selective picking there customers that they are allowing to let shop in store with the DOORS LOCKED ( NOT Allowing customer to come in) however are letting customers out with there goods!! I have had a return from this location for the passed 4 days and have been unable to do so, do to this Selective "DOOR LOCKING PROCEDURE"

Employees are rude and racist towards white people, store closes early every night. Managers are rude, employees slow and if there's a potential problem instead of trying to address it, they just blow you off without any effort to try and resolve matters.
