Ovaitt's R/C Speedshop — Local services in Blair Township

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Ovaitt’s R/C Speedshop. I purchased both a battery and charger from them(Spektrum smart 1300mAh), but unfortunately, I’ve had trouble getting either to work properly. I’ve never been able to get the battery to charge and the charger itself will not charge any battery so far. I reached out for help, hoping they would assist with troubleshooting, but I’ve received little to no support. Finally I was told that “maybe” buying a power adapter for the charger may resolve the issue which they had available at the store. Sounded like I was going to enter a pit of buying various items just to “maybe” solve a faulty battery and charger I purchased from their store. I expected better customer service, especially when dealing with issues related to products sold by the store. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise anyone to be cautious when making...

I would highly recommend this merchant. I took my son's rc car in for what i thought would be a very simple servo...after almost 2 1/2 hours of checking things out Jim and I came to the conclusion that i nnedwd additional parts not available there in store immediately. He offered to order them so i could pick them up...we are about 3 hrs away...so not feasible. His dedication to help me find a solution was remarkable....great guy...laid back shop....even let me use his tools to tryand get what i needed....then after all was said and done...even though we were not able to fix what was wrong he even went so far as to offer to take my son and I fishing on his boat next time we come up....might have to take him up on that...great guy...and his wife was quite helpful as well...dynamic...

The older lady that works at this store is very abrasive and unhelpful. She acts irritated and put-off by any questions. The older man doesn’t seem to care if you buy anything there or not. They sold me the wrong pinion gear which shredded my spur gear. I brought it back and they exchanged it but charged me for the spur gear. I didn’t say anything because they were unpleasant and I was ready to leave. Went back in another day to purchase a $600 RC car that was in stock but passed because of their poor attitudes. While we were there, another customer inquired about ordering a part and the old hateful lady was not happy about having to look it up. Could be a nice store if the old couple sold it to someone that doesn’t hate dealing...
