I went here for a Celebration of Life lunch reception and was disappointed. They had two different Celebration of Life groups at the same time and there was mass confusion on which group had which room. Already a day of mourning for many and both groups were shuffled back and forth. The food seemed to take forever to come out even though it was suppose to be at a certain time. I felt terrible for the men setting up and bringing out food because I honestly think they were as confused as all the mourners. The food was good and the staff working tried to be problem solvers. Read moreMy husband and I joined friends at the VFW for a blues jam that convenes every other Sunday afternoon into evening with Country jam bands on alternate Sundays. We danced accompanied by amazing musicians throughout the event. The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat, and the bar, dining area, and restrooms are very clean. The VFW also had a limited but satisfying menu that includes burgers, flatbread, bruschetta, and salad choices. If you love music and/or love to dance, come to the VFW. Read moreWe were here for lunch. The bartender could have been a mute for as little as he talked...not to mention having a fairly sour look upon his face. We all ordered burgers. The buns were unsubstantial but the fries were good. I ordered onion rings with mine but the coating was way too thick and is meant for fish, not onion rings (onion rings should come with a smooth thin coating, not thick and crumbly). Had the bill been much more we would have fully regretted dining here. Either way...not sure we'll be back any...
