Nathan Hunter Design — Local services in Bloomington

We purchased a set of 6 Gazelle chairs from Nathan Hunter Design and we couldn't be happier! Nathan is professional and easy to work with. Most importantly, he is a master craftsman, the chairs are solid, unique and beautifully crafted.

They look even better in person than they do in his pictures. We wanted comfortable and solid chairs, which once I started looking around, turned out to be a difficult combination. His chairs fit the bill perfectly - the way he curves the wood makes them fit the body like a glove!

These chairs are each a SCULPTURE - while they're very comfortable and obviously useful, they are a thing of beauty to behold. I like turning one 45 degrees and just looking at it, the lines are marvelous!

We purchased 2 that have arms, I'd very much recommend getting the arms for the chairs at the end of the table; they look lovely together, and the arms are very graceful, fitting the rest of the chair.

I was a l little worried about ordering these online, but Nathan was wonderful to work with - one of our chairs was damaged by the shippers and Nathan took care of all the details and got us a new replacement. It was even fun to get his updates with photos of the chairs in process, his communication was wonderful.

Working with Nathan was a joy from start to finish. I had been searching for a bed for almost a year and felt pretty discouraged by the quality and design I was seeing. When I found Nathan’s store on Etsy, I knew right away that I had found a bed that had all of the qualities I wanted. I could tell that the workmanship was outstanding. His designs were not just square “boxes” like many of the platform beds I had looked at. They had graceful lines, incorporated two varieties of wood and the headboard was a true work of art. Communication with Nathan was excellent throughout the process. He answered my questioned quickly and with generous detail. He was happy to accommodate a slight design change and he checked in often to make sure I was happy with the way the design was taking shape. Nathan made it so easy and was so friendly and helpful, that I decided to purchase 2 nightstands from him as well. Everything arrived last week. As much as I loved the pieces online, I was not prepared for how how beautiful they’d be in person. If I could give Nathan 10 Stars, I would. Quality? In my 72 years, I've not seen more beautiful, functional pieces of furniture, and I've seen and purchased many. Value? Nathan finds himself among the very expensive designers. Was his work as fine as the price was high? Absolutely. This dining set will serve, very well, generations to come. Professional? Again yes. Agreements and changes were clear and confirmed in detail, on paper before checks were written. Communication was immediate, courteous and friendly via phone and email. I'd also call his service personal and trustworthy. Responsive? I had many, many questions and a few significant change requests. His response was thoughtful, personal and timely, and Nathan was ultimately able to accommodate every request I made. On time? My order took forever to be completed....or it seemed that way. Rather than walking into a store and bringing home a set, I waited months for his to be made especially for me, and for me alone. His work was finished when he predicted he'd be finished, and his staff kept me informed of their progress. Delivery was prompt and done with meticulous care. Bottom line?....5...
