Simply Primitive is a wonderful shop with an awesome owner and great employees. Everyone here is very nice. The moment you walk in the shop smells amazing from their hand poured candles. Which by the way I highly recommend. These candles are my favorite of any I have ever burned. They are fragrant, long lasting, and even burning. They make these candles on-site and they are amazing. I can't say enough about them. Try them you will not be disappointed.

After you walk in you will enjoy your time in the shop. There is plenty to look at and always a variety. Including fresh baked Amish goods, local made jams and jellies and much more.

There is more than just candles and Amish goods. You just have to go for yourself. It is worth the trip. So much to look at and great quality items at good prices.

I love this shop. You can spend a lot of time in here just walking around and looking at everything.

Located just off the state road running through Bloomington, this locally owned diamond-in-the-rough, has many things from great knick-knacks, to set furnishings that would compliment any household.

Also, the owner herself, creates unique smelling candles, and potpourri, on the premises. Other preserves and jams are locally sourced and look as delicious as they sound. During Thanksgiving I ordered 2 weeks prior to the Thanksgiving day a couple of pies. Not only did I order in person I also called a week ahead to verify my order. I went to pick up my order the day before thanksgiving and was told by the owner that my number was lost. Wasn’t even provided the courtesy of this information when I called two days prior to picking up my order. Not professional and I didn’t feel trustworthy or truthful.
