The management at this facility needs improvement. If you buy a monthly pass here and end up needing a refund, make sure you paid with a card and not cash! They don't tell you that if you paid in cash and need a refund you will have to wait for the manager to write a check and send it to you in the mail. They say the reason for this is because they don't have enough cash on hand to provide you a refund. My refund is only $65 so how they don't have enough cash to do that is beyond me. They had absolutely no problem taking my money but getting a refund is worse then pulling teeth with these people. I have yet to get my check in the mail though I was told it would take no longer than two weeks. I am going on my third week now. Every time I have went to the business in person or called to speak with the manager the person is never there. I have been told everything from she is on vacation, already left for the day, in a meeting and not even being told anything at all. When I ask when the manager will be in and when is a good time for me to be able to speak with her I am told sorry I don't know when. So this literally must be the flakiest manager to ever work somewhere. I have been polite and am at my wits end with this company. They have no problem taking money but have a huge problem refunding it and they don't tell you all the little rules for the refund policy anywhere, otherwise I might have thought twice before giving over my cash. Read moreWe took 9 kids and 3 adults there paid 54.00 to go in and use it the slide is down ok I get that rock wall is down ok fine we swam for 30 minutes had to get out for 30 we knew about that ok cool got back in and got 30 minutes of swim time and told you have to go we are over capacity we can only have 80 people here we have 84 but we were never told it was a possibility that it would happen. Read moreThe pool frequently has staffing issues and do not communicate this effectively with their patrons. They will close the pool at short notice and do not post updates of pool closures in an appropriate manner. They used to have text notifications but those aren't being utilized anymore. They could update the calendar and that happens pretty immediate (the youth working the front desk lied to me about that. If you don't know an answer don't make up an answer please!). People come from out of town to use this amazing pool, indoor pools are rare out here. it is frustrating that the Boardman Pool chooses to be indifferent to it's patrons.
The locker rooms cleanliness is substandard, the shower curtains have the pink/orange mold on the bottom. I've observed black sock lint on the locker room floor for about 4 days in a row, so I know they aren't even spraying the floors off. Applying athletes cream on my feet after using the facility is part of my routine now as preventative foot care.
