
Bogus basin pretends to be a non profit and for the community, while simultaneously paying their employees a poverty wage. I paid for a pass and was then hired full time to work at bogus for the winter season. One of the employee āperksā is a āfreeā season pass. Since I had already paid for a pass, they promised to credit me the difference.
I took all the steps necessary to compete this process, and was issued an employee pass. Both passes were in my pocket anytime I rode the mountain. Now I come to find out since my employee pass was never actually scanned, they are refusing to reimburse the money I paid for a pass. I worked all winter for them,full time, for $15 an hour, a literal labor of love just to get laps.
It took them months to finally get back to me and deny payment. No options were offered as consolation, not even a sorry that sucks. I would say itās hard to believe but I have heard many gripes with management during my time there.
Itās sad that a ānon profitā treats their employees so poorly, I just wanted my 300 bucks back to apply to this years season pass. Now Iām well out of the sale window and will be paying full price.
