If I could rate this hospital negative numbers I would in a heartbeat. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. My finger was sliced open and bleeding all over and I did not have my purse since my neighbor had to drive me to the ER. She insisted I provide proof of ID and after reiterating again I did not have it she finally accepted my information. The triage nurse tells me the cut is to the bone and that I would need medication however what your discharge nurse said contradicted everything he said. I expressed how even when my finger was supposed to be numb I was experiencing enough pain to make to cry in agony. I was told “you’re going to be in extreme pain due to the location of your laceration” however when I asked for the doctor and something for the pain, she kept talking over me and telling me to take Tylenol. I admit I got emotional due to the level of pain at that point and the discharge nurse made me feel like I junkie looking for a fix when in reality I was feeling an extremely high level of pain but tried to remain calm to avoid having a panic attack. I will never go back to your hospital, since your staff had me in tears at the way i was treated and how much I was hurting. Your staff lacks compassion and explained nothing and no one could keep their information straight. My hand is still covered in blood and iodine since apparently that is not part of process of attending to a “deep laceration” I have. I understand the workforce is understaffed and everyone is working more to accommodate the issue but it’s unacceptable. For the record I was told to leave your hospital and in more pain now than when I was bleeding all over my hallway. I waited over 30mins for the head/supervising nurse and was left on hold. I’m not a “Karen” or a drug user and my finger is worse now and I can’t get the help necessary since your staff doesn’t seem to care about their patients well being. I will make sure to let everyone know about this experience and the conditions in which you treat your patients. Also I very much enjoyed how I had to fill out registrations information on my own phone while bleeding all over my phone case. There are not enough words to express how your hospital is a waste of my tax dollars and I was raised to treat anyone no matter the situation with patience...
Read more"I recently had the privilege of experiencing exceptional care at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook, Illinois, when my wife gave birth to our beautiful baby daughter via C-section. From the moment we arrived, the hospital's beautiful facilities and comfortable atmosphere put us at ease.
The medical team, led by our surgeon, performed the C-section procedure with utmost professionalism and care. What struck me most was the hospital's flexibility and accommodation; I was allowed to witness the entire procedure and be present with my newborn daughter at all times. This meant the world to me and my wife during such a precious moment.
The recovery suite was another highlight, offering a serene and comfortable environment for our two-day stay. The food was surprisingly great, which was a lovely bonus during our recovery. However, what truly made our experience stand out was the hospital staff's hospitality and kindness. From the morning to the night shift, every team member we interacted with was courteous, compassionate, and dedicated to our care. Special mention goes to the Filipino staff member who provided extra love and care to my wife during her recovery and to Becky for her invaluable advice and warm hospitality.
To the doctor who performed the surgery and the entire team who assisted, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Your expertise, combined with the hospital's commitment to patient care, made a significant difference in our experience.
Without hesitation, I would highly recommend UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook to anyone expecting a baby. The level of care, comfort, and compassion provided is truly top-notch. Five stars isn't enough; I'd give it ten stars if I could. If you're looking for a hospital to deliver your baby, look no further than UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook....
Read moreThe billing department is horrible and doesn’t have a clue they made me pay for a procedure that I know for a fact was completely covered by my insurance under the affordable care act saying that I didn’t meet the out of pocket maximum yet but that didn’t matter previous times and I didn’t pay so I was confused but figured I would submit a claim later the receipt they gave me didn’t have any of the necessary information for submitting a claim on top of that they submitted a claim to my insurance that basically said I paid nothing and insurance covered the whole bill which I knew they would so on my insurance providers site it shows that I have paid $0 towards the out of pocket maximum which is because AdventHealth is hiding the fact that they also charged me so they can get away with getting paid twice for 1 procedure and the customer service is no help at all it’s easier to pull teeth than to get them to admit they have made a big mistake if I can’t get this mistake fixed I’m gonna have to find a new provider even then this error has been so egregious that I’m not sure I can trust them enough to continue under their care. It’s just plain awful when a company takes advantage of a customer but more so when it’s a hospital the insurance already pays hundreds so why is there a need to rob me. Train your people better you’re supposed to be here to help not hurt. I’m currently trying to talk to my insurance about this and hope they can help me correct this since advent customer service is the exact opposite of helpful. To anyone who reads this let it serve as a warning against AdventHealth and their billing department I’m especially mad that the money I paid isn’t showing in my out of pocket maximums now, it seems like a blatant attempt at hiding the charge from...
