Firstly I would like to say that I am glad for the people who have had good experiences here, as our animals deserve nothing but.
I understand I will sound bitter in saying this but I am being honest. Every time I/we went here with our dog it was a very guilt tripping experience from the VET. Guilt trippy and overpriced, talked you into accepting treatments and services out of GUILT not compassion and kindness or understanding, as if you were a vet yourself not an animal owner. We could never do “enough”. The vet techs and receptionists are very nice but the judgmental attitude from the veterinarian is unacceptable and I am a neurodivergent person urging them to have more empathy for people who want to take care of their animals but are not loaded. Perhaps we were the wrong demographic for them.
My new kitten got a first appointment (we were already established as patients there with our dog) 2 MONTHS from when we first got her, and turns out she had EAR MITES and could have infected our dog which the team shamelessly guilted us for, although once we pointed out it was their fault for not seeing us sooner, they became quiet. We have zero idea of what ear mites look like.
We now go to a new vet 30 minutes away instead of 5 minutes away. We were not asked why we left. I’m sure they will pay for this review...
Read moreMy dog Diesel was a patient at Integrative Animal Health Center for the past decade. Dr. Wendy Parkis has provided exceptional care for Diesel along the years and we are so lucky to have met such a brilliant, kind, compassionate human being. She always explains everything so well and in depth, and she did a tremendous job educating us on how to properly take care of Diesel. Dr. Parkis was one of few who could successfully treat Diesel and he truly did trust and love her. Up until his final days, Dr. Parkis and her team including Dr. Freeman, did everything they could to help Diesel and keep him comfortable while battling an aggressive disease that ultimately he could no longer fight. Losing Diesel has been one of the hardest things my family and I have gone through. Dr. Parkis and staff made this process an experience we are extremely grateful for.
Without a doubt, I can confidently say that the staff members employed at Integrative Animal Health Center all truly care for the patients and families at their practice. We have referred family, friends and neighbors to this vet hospital and will continue to do so.
Thank you so much Dr. Parkis, Dr. Freeman, Heidi, Kris, Megan, and Ellyn (so sorry if I’m forgetting anyone) for all that you have done...
Read moreDr. Rogers is wonderful!!! She and the team were instrumental in the care that "Fernando" received for his ailing wrist. The aquatic treadmill is a lifesaver when it comes to osteoarthritis in large breed dogs.
She and the team made a mould of his wrist and sent it out (the brace) came back from the lab and helps to immolbolize his joint to keep from injuring further.
I personally had "no clue" about this type of therapy that's available for dogs. It's a win-win situation to see less stiffness in his joints and more movement + momentum in his body. Granted the aquatic treadmill won't be that easy...
First we had to get "Fernando" acquainted with the equipment ( sort of an impromptu introduction to it), and then spend several minutes in the enclosed space letting him get used to the water being pumped in. This is a feat in itself because "Fernando's" a German Shepherd with an analytical mind, and his mind is thinking up ways to avoid "new surfaces". If he feels that the depth perception is off he won't engage in the activity.
Dr. Roger's has that ability to see "Fernando's apprehensions and tackle it head on". That's why we've been coming for a little over a year... The team is so caring and...
