The store recommended a woman who does Memorial Quilts, which I wanted for a family member who passed. I had a terrible experience working with her and I do not recommend her. She is the only person the store recommends for this type of thing. When I initially tried to collaborate with her on the design, she basically questioned my readiness (my grieving process) to undergo the project. My experiences of her attention to detail and follow-through went downhill from there. And if I recall correctly, she wanted $800 to do the quilt. I recommended finding someone more qualified and compassionate, $800 or not.

Dear sue, I see that you have shared the details of my painful experience working with Mrs. Blanchette. If you call questioning her decision to choose a background color without checking with me an insult, I am not exactly sure what you mean. Thankfully, I did take the project to a professional this time. Mrs. Blanchette made it seem as though I only had one choice for the layout of the quilt, which the professional now on the project says is not the case. I am very happy with the way things turned out and that I didn’t have to accept Mrs. Blanchette's one-off design. She made decisions on a sensitive project without consulting me. Since you shared my location during covid lockdown, I'll add that communication with her wasn't further complicated by being abroad. She never followed-up with a phone call or email. I'm giving this store one star because of the unfriendly Janet. I found a pattern and ruler first. Then picked out 2 bolts of fabric. I asked where could I put my items so I could continue shopping? I WAS TOLD TO PUT THEM ON THE CUTTING TABLE. I came back to my pile of items with another pattern and bolt of fabric only to find my items were gone. Janet informed me " that is why you are to pick up a basket at the door". No appoligy for putting my things away! Then at checkout Janet continued to do paperwork before checking me out. I was thrilled at the convenience of being able to purchase a gift certificate for my mother online. I was confused about the delivery as I had requested it sent via email and hadn't seen it arrive a few days after purchasing. No need to worry, I had a WONDERFUL phone chat with Rose, and she was able to quickly look up the record of my sale and we were able to determine that the certificate had indeed been sent but it ended up in my spam folder.
