Gorka's Poke Barn — Local services in Bonita Springs

I recently got into the Pokemon collection hobby as it was something I have been wanting to do for a long time now. Before coming to this shop (or any other shop) I read their reviews to get an idea of what to expect as far as prices, atmosphere, stock, and employee attitudes.

To say I was surprised with the outcome of visiting this store would be an understatement. The first I came here I was given a massive amount of help regarding starting my collection and ended up walking out with some sealed product and approximately 40 cards that took almost two hours to find to jump start my collection. I was very pleased with both the attention given to me in my daze when facing so many new items and the price offered for these items.

The second I visited this store I met the owner, Justin, who introduced himself and showed me all the new stock they had gotten in since my first visit a week prior. Again, during this visit I felt like my picky collection criteria was given ample attention by the employees and I was able to grab a few more cards for my collection.

Ultimately I think this shop was a delight to visit and I will continue to visit it in the future as I expand my collection. Stock was plentiful for my needs and prices were what I, as a newcomer to the hobby, would consider fair and competitive. This is an especially salient point for me since as a newcomer to the hobby, I am not comfortable yet with haggling over prices. So it was great that not only were their prices already what I considered fair but at time of checkout, they were openly receptive to looking up current prices on the products I bought and always matched a fair recent sale price, or even went a little below for newer product that had yet to establish a consistent selling point.

I’m the owner of Dynamo Collectibles in Fort Myers which is another Pokemon-centered trading card store. I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting their store yet, but have interacted with their staff at multiple local shows in Northern Fort Myers and Naples. They are kind and courteous. Several of their workers have purchased our cards at these shows and never low-balled or made us unfair offers. They also helped us make a large-scale purchase at a recent event, which was exceedingly helpful for my location as they know we needed sealed products and wanted to pass on goodwill to us.

If you’re in the area, they would be an excellent place to give your business to, as our interactions as “competitors” (which is a perception and not reality) have been nothing but pleasant.

Five stars, and shop...

This place is awesome! The vibe here is great and everyone makes the place like a family all in on the same hobby. Love the place and the people, what they are trying to do with the store and community is amazing.

Given how the hobby currently is and how expensive it is and how hard it is to find anything, I know if I go here there’s always something for me whether it is a single pack, card or box I’m looking for.

I’m completing a master set and they even have bulk for me to look through to help complete the set. Now they even have games and activities for kids to play (even me given I’m not really a kid anymore)

Can’t recommend enough to go here and experience it for yourself. It’s not only a store to buy stuff but also a hangout to go and learn more about Pokemon and the local community...
