Sadly, I did not have a good experience here. I had a male massage therapist who was very kind, and seemed eager to do a good job. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the Thai massage, and I tend to just go with it. I kept feeling a sharp poking sensation every time he moved his hands. It didn't feel good, but I thought maybe it was a tool he was using. Having trained in acupuncture, I'm aware that not all therapeutic experiences necessarily feel good. About half-way through the massage I figured out his fingernails were just too long. At that point, honestly, I didn't want to embarrass him, and I just decided to try my best to ignore it, leave and not come back.
It feels like massage therapy 101 to make sure your nails are short enough. I've never had that experience before. It's actually made me skittish about scheduling another appointment anywhere. There's something about being naked when you need to complain about something, and I'm typically not shy! :(
To the business, thanks for your response! I just double checked and it was this location. I have a receipt from 5/11 if that helps, and the massage was purchased by my partner, so that's perhaps why you don't have it in your system? Happy to clarify further...
Read moreShoulder and neck tied up in knots? Let Malana work it all out for you. Using her strength, her incredible knowledge of musculature, pressure points, and Qi meridians, as well as Traditional Thai Massage techniques, she is indeed able to perform Miracles. I’ve been working too much at two jobs for too long, neglecting proper rest, and my left shoulder was aching to the point where I couldn’t sleep well at all for long stretches at night. I’d gone so long without a good deep-tissue massage that I was kind of afraid to, and almost doubted it would be of help. Yet, after an amazing 90 minutes’ treatment, I felt completely relaxed but energized, and on my fairly fast-paced bike ride home, my neck didn’t crack or pinch when I looked over my shoulder, and my back and legs felt freer than they’ve been in weeks. Freedom! Thanks, Malana! I’m glad you are such a strong and capable Healer, and I certainly won’t wait or hesitate to return as soon as possible. I’m really looking forward to your skillful help in keeping stubborn pain and discomfort away before it even starts… See...
Read moreDisappointed to say the least. Chose this place bc of so many rave reviews. To start, when we arrived, they very uncomfortably asked if the three of us were “together.” We had already told them we could all three be in separate rooms, so there really was no reason to suggestively ask about how we were together and then smile at us oddly. We filled out a form that was supposed to aid in the therapists' understanding of our treatment, but it seemed like it was totally disregarded. The massage itself seemed to lack refined technique (both the unwanted western and also thai aspects), and actually made matters worse for someone else in our group. Lastly, there was a McDonald's cup that my therapist was taking sips from throughout the session, which felt very unprofessional...even further, I’ve posted a version of this review already and after a ton of talking in circles, not being listened to, and told that I was being audio recorded, was asked to remove it if one of the massages were to be refunded. I’m sorry, but this is just not what I consider...
