Spirit Halloween — Local services in Bozeman

Four of my friends and I decided on the last day before Halloween to go to the store together to look at costumes right after school. When we did everything was normal until a man came up and asked us to keep our back packs zipped. (We had back packs since we came right after school) we respected his wish and didn't mess with our bags. Then as we were looking around the man kept following us and then eventually started to talk to a co worker while looking our direction we minded our own business and moved toward the front of the store to look at more things. Then I glanced towards the cashier's and the man was talking too two ladies while looking at us. The lady walked up to other consumers to provide support and I asked the lady kindly if she'd like me to take our bags off and put them by the counter. She rudely replied with "are you guys trying to buy some thing or just loitering?" I ignored it and we took our bags off and then moved to the other side to check out the costume we wanted. As we were looking to employees were sitting there staring at us. I tried to ignore it and moved on. This store is ridiculous. It is EXTREMELY overpriced and the return policy is absolutely terrible. I purchased some tights, went to a different store, found something that was a better quality for a better price, then went back to return the tights from Spirit Halloween, however, they would not take them back because it was after a certain date. No other retail store that I've ever dealt with has a policy like this. Horrible way to run a business. Also, the customer service agents were extremely rude and unhelpful. It's Spirit, so not much needs said. However, this year so far, both the quality and quantity of products seems to have improved ten-fold. Is it a bit on the expensive side? Yes, always has been BUT you have to consider how much it costs to lease a place for only 3 months, pay staff, and cover operational costs of a brick & mortar business who specializes in a niche such as Halloween. The staff at my local Spirit location have been amazing. Very friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. I look forward to this pop-up seasonal shop every year and this year did...
