Read moreI discovered this store by accident a few years ago. Now, if I'm even remotely in the area I stop in! There's not a store like this in Northern Vermont! I've been needing a good pair of women's work pants for around the homestead and critters. My lone Carhartt's that came used from a friend have seen better days. There was a very kind and knowledgeable man (wish I remembered his name, he made the Dovetail poster) who helped me weight the different styles, he knew all the ins and outs, the features, and the inventory. I settled on a pair of Dovetails. Made for actual woman made by actual women. I'm talking about real pockets, flexibility where it matters, coverage where you need it, soft, durable, and with all the feature (and then some) of a pair of man's pants. These things are amazing- well worth the money (and they were even on sale)!
While you're here, be sure to check out the bargain loft! This is THE place for work...
Read moreFarmway is a unique store just off Exit 16 in Bradford VT. This store has clearly grown over time. You can see it as you enter the worn and rustic entrance and head deep into the store where the surroundings become more modern and rooms were clearly added on. The feeling is like traveling a long tunnel filled with goods ranging from dog food to high tech clothing.
The assortment of goods is extensive. Shoes and boots by all the big names, snow shoes, Carhartt, ski wear, jeans, hunting and hiking supplies. And if you need it equestrian apparel, saddle and tack.
Really there is something for everyone. Prices are reasonable and a large clearance space upstairs always offers a bargain. Some staff are clearly on loss prevention patrol but most are helpful and ready to help you fi d what you are after.
Even if you aren't looking for something specific, I think it's well worth the very short drive off the highway to...
