I honestly didn't have the greatest feeling when arriving. It appears that all of the employees were parking in the customer parking area which put the actual customers outside the business lot, along the frontage road. Not very professional. Not to mention, anyone older having to walk further because there were no places to park. The entrance to the place was tucked away among all the vehicles, old campers and dumpsters so if you've never been there, you're not entirely sure as to where to go. Once we got inside there was a young lady that greets you and sets you up with a sales person. We had Kyle. Kyle was very nice and friendly. Knowledgeable and not pushy. We told him what we were in the market for and he immediately took us out to look at some options. We found a few we liked and gathered some info on each and left. No issues. We came back later that day with family and had the same issue with the parking. We asked for Kyle and once again went out to look. No issues. Side note: During these all 3 visits, we noticed a lot of employees running around, goofing off and being loud. Not very professional either. A few days later we decided to check out another RV dealer and also go back to CW. We spoke to Kyle again and ended up finding the one we really liked so we went inside to go over numbers. Kyle had thought this one was within our price range but it ended up being somewhere around $6k more than we could afford so we told him that it wasn't going to work out and thanked him for his time. We figured we would just keep looking on another day. Well that's when the finance guy stepped in and started getting aggressive with his approach. We told him our budget and he explained that he could try to work out the numbers but he needed to know our bottom dollar. We told him and he kind of got upset. (Now mind you, we didn't initiate this dollar game, the finance guy did) We also told him we were not interested in financing through CW and we would use our own bank. He didn't like that either. We simply told him that we were able to get a great rate through our bank and would prefer to go that route. He was aggravated by this information and asked what the rate was and with who. (WTH???) He was not happy that we weren't going to finance with CW. (He wanted us to use his financing, which had a higher APR and for longer terms than our own) He told us to finance through CW, wait 6 months so they can keep their kick back, then refinance with our own bank!!!!! WHAT!!??? This is the reason people go into debt and can't get out. Don't force someone into something they can't afford. By this point I was getting upset by all of it and just told him to give us some numbers with CW financing and without. He did and then asked when we would be giving him an answer. I explained to him that we needed time to go over things and make a decision. He then asked how many days till we would get back to him......HE ACTUALLY asked for the number of days!!!! We were shocked by this. I told him a few days and we got up and left. I just couldn't believe how pushy this guy was. Needless to say, this didn't set well with us so we went to Pontiac RV. Very professional, clean, friendly and NOT pushy. Sorry CW but this is not how you...
Read moreLeft a 5 star review 10 months ago and just deleted it because of the way we have been treated at this place. Buyers beware. The first camper we purchased - walked in December 2023 with full intentions of sitting down and purchasing. Our sales guy was cool and very nice but getting numbers from the finance department was terrible! They didnât even sit down with us to give us numbers and we were the ONLY people there. Crazy. Guess everyone is making money that sales isnât a thing? Anyway, after my wife and I were clearly upset that we wasted time, I said to my wife I bet a manager calls and asks why we didnât sit down with anyone and I explained that we didnât go there to browse and that we were ready to purchase and had models in mind. Of course the manager saw dollar signs and couldnât believe what had happened. We ended up purchasing a great camper. Former management was a tool and very rude at time of pickup. We were an inconvenience apparently and you could tell he was having a bad day but we were the targets. Mechanics/techs did the walk through and they were great but again you could tell we were being rushed.
Fast forward to again late Nov 2024. We went in to trade our camper in and see bigger options. Staff had changed as well as management and they looked at our old files and heard our previous experience and wanted to make it right. So we thoughtâŚ.when purchasing they were all smiles and did everything rightâŚ.just about the time while we realized items were missing in our camper. We upgraded in size and added more to our overall purchase cost by doing so (which we didnât have to but we wanted more room which = more $). We ended up scheduling service for an upgrade for backup cameras - I ended up being talked into a better camera = more $ and I was looking for an install on a slide-out awning to be installed before a big trip. Had all this worked out, went in got the cameras installed, but they âforgotâ to order the awning. Huh? How about hey we are going to get this done ASAP, or we will try everything to get this done prior to your trip or when you come back. We ended up going on our trip and realize our brand new camper and grill had missing pieces. Griddle is missing and the hookups were missing. My wife calls and the service manager tells my wife to âuse a pan!â So you buy a brand new camper and youâre missing items and you just tell my wife to go pound sand? Calling the store to speak with the manager Bryan Lieser was like the worst phone tag and the front desk has to be told to play games with customers. Itâs a joke. Finally get ahold of Bryan and he says he can t believe the run around Iâve been getting and he wants to make it right. Well his last name is LIESer because itâs been since July since our last conversations and I still have ZERO replacements for my grill and an awning that was supposed to be at discounted price to âmake it right.â This has been the WORST experience from Camping World and I will have to say this plays sucks. Buying brand new TWICE from them I should have learned the first time. Stay far away from this place! You have...
Read moreUpdated Review: Just bought our 5th wheel there over the weekend and wanted to give our full experience. Liberty was great, very pleasant and super nice, very easy to work with. However, they told us that they would give us 9,200 for our trade in (without seeing it, and I know numbers will change but just by this number I wasnât going to trade it it), and upon arrival (without our camper) the trade in value then dropped to 4,500. They said they couldnât find who we had talked to get that number, which is fine because we still werenât going to trade it in given the first price. Our âfinal sales guyâ canât remember his name but he was down from Minnesota helping, was awful. Very rude and said he didnât care to throw away the deal (already after paperwork had been signed and check was there and processed for over a week). Backstory because we heard this from a unnamed person helping us: they greatly overpaid for our camper when they purchased it (not my fault) and during our walkthrough, the maintenance guy noticed the AC wasnât workingâŚso they had to put in a new AC on the spot (again not my fault), then after going through everything again and also now realizing that the power jack motor is also out and they have to replace that (again not my fault) so Iâm not sure if it wasnât fully checked upon our arrival or if this just happened but it was completely out of our hands. I know they give a referral gift card as well as money to spend in the storeâŚour âfinally sales guy from Minnesotaâ was so mad that 1, they lost a lot of money on the sale (not my fault you agreed to the price), 2, had to then replace the AC and power jack motor (again not my fault), and now 3, they have to replace the fan covers because they are all cracked (noticed that when we got home) he downright refused the referral and any store credit and said we could trash the whole deal. None of this was my fault and should have been noticed before our arrival. From time of purchase to our arrival to pickup the camper was 9 days, more than enough time to figure things out. And this is not about the referral or the in store credit, it was how we were talked to and pretty much blamed for the terrible deal HE made. If I could give 5 stars to these people though, PLEASE LET THEM KNOW! James S, he was down from the Chicago office to help, he was great and so personable. Joey in service was absolutely amazing and made everything right, they are even coming down to my house to install the jack motor and to bring the fan covers. And also Chris and James in service, two down to earth guys who also helped us tremendously making sure we were taken care of until we pulled off the lot. So a huge thank you to those three for making our not good experience a...
