AMI Sportfishing Charters — Local services in Brandenton Beach

There are not enough stars above for my review but here goes. I am an 80-year-old man (Tom) from Maine. Fishing since I was five. Have fished internationally for most species. I have learned that there are 3 types of Captains: #1) Capt. Self. If you know the waters and methods, you can do what you want, sometimes good sometimes not so. # 2) A Capt., who fishes for the money, keeps overhead down doesn't want one to get skunked but profit most important. #3) A Captain who LOVES Fishing and this describes Austin perfectly. He looks for the fish, he finds the fish, he catches the fish (actually he helps you) he respects the fish! I have had only 2 captains who meet the standard of #3. The late Francisco Rauda of Mexico and Austin Conclaves of AMI. Thanks for the best three days of Tarpon Fishing. Thanks to Jason and Christine for an 80th Birthday present I will always remember. My man Austin kept the lines tight all morning. Showed up to the launch and he was ready to roll with bait and everything. First spot we got on to around 10 speckled trout and a few snooks including a 31 incher. Next spot yielded more trout, snook, and a catfish. Last spot of the 4 hr trip we got into more snook and a redfish! Austin constantly was prepping things to increase our odds, hardworking dude. Also helped all members of our party with casting into prime spots during our inshore trip. All in all Austin was personable and patient and put us on to around 25 fish. Second trip with Austin. We decided to go offshore after a cold weather system took hold for a few days. We were worried about getting on the board with fish, but Austin put that worry to bed. Austin made every attempt to put us on the fish after their patterns were disrupted and he delivered. Fished 3 different waypoints and came away with 20+ fish including mangrove snappers, key west grunts, lane snapper, spanish mackerel, red and gag grouper, lady fish, and blue fish.
