Before I start this review I want to say I have been a faithful Bob Boyte customer for 10+ years, passing 3 Honda dealerships and driving 45+ minutes to have my vehicles serviced here because of the amazing service in past years. The last few visits to the service department have been nothing short of a nightmare. I dropped off my Accord for a check engine light and fluid leak 4 weeks ago. The service advisor came back with several causes including valve cover gaskets and power steering rack, etc. I was quoted over $3,800 for the work. Being busy and not having time to wrench on my car due to work travel I agreed (crazy right!?). The first red flag was the technician calling me to ask if my car had been swapped to a manual transmission because they showed my vin as an automatic. What!!!? The second red flag was the advisor informing me that they saw no code stored and were unable to get the code to re-appear. Huh!? The code was on the dash when the car was dropped off! A quick google vin search would show the car left the factory as a 6 speed manual lol. Next I was given date after date and the car was never ready. A $40 autozone scan tool can check for stored fault codes in the cars ECU! 2+ weeks later I was told to pick up the car and that all issues and the check engine light had been resolved. The car was filthy! After paying and driving off I immediately made a U turn and returned to the dealership. Upon popping the hood my car was missing the steering fluid cap, the fuse box was completely busted and partly on the passenger seat, and the timing side of my engine was tapping. I also noticed my freshly painted brake calipers on both front sides were bashed to oblivion and missing paint. At least they placed my wheel lock back on my passenger seat in a nice Honda branded bag right? I refused to take the car and another advisor drove it around the parking lot and promised to have it looked at first thing Monday morning. I then go into the trunk, pull out my personal OBD2 scanner and pull up the stored fault code in the ECU. I flag another advisor down and show him the code is literally still stored, just not active but clearly this is what I was seeing. How does a Honda dealership with master technicians not have the ability to see a stored code but I have a tool that can!? No phone call for 3 days as I continued to call for the advisor daily and he was always on lunch. He finally called me Wednesday prior to close and said nobody had looked at my car yet. I paid almost $4k and my car sat for almost a week untouched, after being there for weeks being repaired. He then calls the next day and quotes me $700 for a tensioner assembly and informs me that my car is past the required 100k mile water pump and timing belt replacement, which is another $1500+. I politely informed him that his dealership did the timing belt and water pump service a few months ago! What in the world! Had I not been up on my maintenance and had knowledge of what was going on I would have been taken for thousands more. I got fed up and took the car yesterday with nothing resolved. Still have a check engine light. Today I hear a loud sound coming from the driver side wheel well and pull over. Whoever repaired my car did not re-install the plastic undercarriage underneath the car and it was being completely destroyed under my car. Because of this, I needed to remove the tire to remove the destroyed wheel well. Guess what? That pretty Honda branded bag with the wheel lock left on my passenger seat did not belong to my car. I was unable to remove my own wheels because the technician did not place MY wheel lock BACK in MY car. I then had to hammer on a 12point 19mm socket and impact the wheel lock off of my car on the side of the road, further damaging my rim to fix my car as the dealership was closed. Luckily I had the tools but again, how many people would?! I would have been stranded if I had a flat or emergency. $3,800 later and my car is more damaged than when I dropped it off and the check engine light I took it in for is still on.

Where do I begin? I bought my 2022 Honda Accord Sport Special Edition in March of this year. A couple of months after having it I noticed that it started making a noise between the dash and the windshield almost like it was rubbing, as well as the radio would randomly start changing through different modes/stations and then would stop responding. I also noticed at the top of the windshield on the driver's side you could touch the seal, and it was the consistency of putty and would wipe away. I made an appointment and went into the dealership on 8/24/24 to have the oil changed, to have the issues listed above checked, to pick up my extra key that was not available when I bought the car in March, and to have my tires rotated. When I pulled up and told the guy what I was there for he quickly told me they could look at my car and get my key programmed, but they only have 2 service techs on Saturday and that is their busiest day, and it would take a while. He told me it would be better to bring it back during the week when they have 6 or 7 service techs, and I could just drop it off and they could give me a loaner vehicle because I live 2 hours away. I agreed and left. I was probably not even 2 miles down the road when my tire pressure light came on saying tire pressure was low and then noticed they never even reset my dash, and it was showing service needed soon. When I got home and checked my tires, I realized they were all different one had 46 psi, another 31 psi, 42 psi in one, and the other was 28 psi. The recommended psi is 32. My fiancé took it back the following Wednesday to drop it off and while going over the issues once again, was told there was nothing they could do about the windshield. They called me on Thursday to let me know my car was ready to pick up and they were ordering a new radio display. I picked it up on 8/30/24 and was told they had ordered the display but that it was on backorder and would take a couple of weeks. Flash forward 1 week and I am stopping at a red light when suddenly, I have 4 different lights come up on my dashboard. The lights were for the collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, lane keeping assist problem, and auto high beam problem. I was sent a review from Honda and when I did not give Bob Boyte the review, they were expecting I was contacted quickly. They apologized and told me to please bring my car back to them and they would get it taken care of and have me a loaner gassed up and ready. They would make sure to get my car fixed before I had to turn around and make another 2-hour trip to pick it back up. I was also told to ask for the service manager, and he would make sure to take good care of me. I get there and I am going over the issues once again when he looks at the windshield and asks when it was replaced, and I told him I had no idea I had only had the car for 6 months and was told previously that there was nothing they could do about the windshield. Well, guess where the problems were coming from... the noise, the lights on the dash, yep you guessed it the windshield. They had to replace the windshield which already had a tinted brow, but do you think they replaced that? No, they did not but they did scrape the leather off my gear shifter. Now not only do I have to pay to replace the tint but also the gear shifter. On top of all that when I got in my car after they "put some miles on it" as the service tech stated they left my gas tank on empty. I made sure to put gas back in the loaner before dropping it off. The mileage on the invoice was also incorrect. The in and out mileage was the same even though they did drive it. I feel like for warranty it should have been correct especially since they did drive it while they had it. I have reached out to let them know about the other issues before posting this with the only response being thank you for your patience while I check into this matter which was on 9/23/24. The buying process was a breeze, and Alexander was very helpful! The service department not so much!

The first experience was when I bought my wife a new Honda Pilot several yrs ago. I was told they could add navigation to the car. They told me to come back in two weeks and they would be able to do it. I trusted them, bought the car, and showed back up in two weeks. Doing what I said I would (I know, what a strange concept.....right?). They then told me after the purchase when I showed back up they couldn't add navigation. They reimbursed me for that, but now I had a car I no longer wanted. I chalked it up as a learning experience. That same car had an emissions light that stayed on. I was charged $300 even though there was a recall on that issue shortly after I pd for them to fix the issue.......which was never fixed btw. I called/emailed for two weeks to get Bob Boyte to contact me. I wont put what the salesman told me on here. Let's just say it made my jaw drop. Don't expect to get any answers on their screw-ups.

Fast forward to my most recent experience after buying my wife a new accord and getting an oil change. I know......my fault again. I should have learned from my first experience. If you like getting oil changes and them not putting the oil cap on......boy, is this place for you. Also, they lie about the car having a "kill switch" when oil is low. I am going to take the high road here (I won't name names on here from the service employee who obviously lied to me to get me to pick my car up......and you are welcome. I hope you read this and do better in the future. Now on to Tommy, thank you for answering the question that I knew the answer to honestly that your co-worker lied about. You are a unicorn there. Someone that tells the truth from time to time. It is really hard to find). I am not sure why they would lie about that. I would never do business here again. The worst service ever. I have caught them in several lies. It is embarrassing how bad they are. If you are going to constantly lie to your customer base.......at least get your lies in order so you are on the same page with deceiving your customer base. Sorry......but I am extremely ticked off that I gave this dealership over $70k the last 10 yrs. If you never listen to anything I say.......run and don't look back. I can go into a lot more detail, but this should be enough of a warning to never do business here. Oh.....and by the way, all these yrs later, Bob Boyte has never called or returned an email.

They did give my wife a loaner car. They wanted the loaner car back. You would think with an issue that they caused, that they would bend over backwards and bring your car to you. No, they wanted me to bring the loaner back. I live an hr away. I told them I would meet them at a certain time and place. I was there, stayed an hour and nobody showed up. They didn't reply to text messages. The only reason I rated them a 1 star was because a negative 500 star wasn't an option.

We have a family vacation coming up. We are hoping that the car will not have any issues. Bob Boyte service said there are no issues with the car. We shall see. Based on their ability to tell the truth, I have my doubts. Praying for a safe trip and a car that won't leave us stranded......assuming they can figure out how to actually meet someone and deliver it. Who knew trusting a less than two yr old car would be a challenge. Thanks for nothing Bob Boyte Honda! If you decide to do business with them, make sure you lower your expectations.......that way you won't be disappointed when they meet them.
