Nice course but the experience was one of the worst I have ever had.
From the start I was very dissappointed with the pro shop and course employees and it didnt get any better as our game progressed.
I booked a 4 weeks in advance 10am ish tee time for my inlaws on a Thursday. Regardless, we arrive and an old man in line for check in was in front of us and pays to play as a walk in. Then after we pay ($30 more than I was told it would be) and get loaded and pull up to the first hole we are told this that guy that was infront of us to check in would be joining us, without even asking us if it would be cool. Not to mention check in at the pro shop was rude about answering the few simple questions I had. So our experience started off poorly to say the least. Then because we had a half blind, angry, old drunk playing with us, who literally would hit his poor wife with his clubs for not doing exactly what he wanted her to do or reading his mind wrong, our pace of play was slow (yet still reasonable, as we finished in 4hrs) and we were constantly being hounded to skip holes, and play faster and faster. However we could not play faster as there was another 4 pack in front of us. Turns out a 4 pack of karens was playing behind us and had been long time members of the club so thats why we were being extra pushed. All in all, horrible experience. I was embaressed to bring my out of town family here. Save yourself the unecessary stress and unenjoyable experience...go golf at nearbye Ledgestone or Holiday Hills. Both are nice, and a better experience as well. Or make the drive to Springfield for an even better and cheaper golf experience. I recommend the Springfield option if you want to play during peak months, it is a 45 minute drive but a far better experience.

Read moreHad an 830 tee time when we booked back in August but there was a mix up on both my party and the club house which I don’t blame them for and made a special tee time for 825 for us which was greatly appreciated. We We arrived at 740 to hit on the range. Once inside we were informed they moved us up tee times to fit more people on and now it’s 810. Asked for range balls and got told you probably don’t have time. We insisted we wanted to hit the range to warm up due to the colder temps in the morning being 42 degrees. They finally agreed but once on the range after hitting approximately 5 balls the marshal came over and said we needed to leave and go to the first tee box. This meant the money we paid for the range balls were wasted. We were the second group out and had to wait on each tee box and approach shot for the group ahead to clear. On three different occasions the marshal said you are making good time but I need you to move a faster. We were unable to do so since we waiting for the group ahead each time. We finish the round in 4 hours which is acceptable when they course says pace of play is 4.5 hours. The cart girl was extremely nice. For each of us paying $175 in our opinion the course was not worth it. I will say the course was beautiful and challenging. Unfortunately we won’t return. It is a nice course but I believe the big cedar lodge courses are better with a lower price range. Drove 4...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a quick and enjoyable golf weekend before the brutality of old man winter started to materialize. We are avid golfers who play all over the world but live in St. Loius, so Branson was an ideal setting and reviews I saw placed Branson Hills among the elite clubs to play. I must have been reading reviews from years gone by however. Immediately we ran into a number of fivesomes on the course. On three different tee boxes we pulled up before they even hit and still weren't allowed through. My wife messaged the clubhouse and when the pro shop attendant came out he didn't apologize but rather attempted to provide us with a lesson on how "golf etiquette" has changed over the years and now in the $130/round golf rate world that fivesomes, t-shirts, music on phones, beer cans in the woods, etc. are not the exception but indeed the norm and specifically encouraged at their establishment it seems. This is fine at a $30 Muni track in my opinion, but if you are dropping 4.5 times that during ideal golf weather on a Saturday morning I feel a certain level of traditional golf etiquette rather than contemporary versions of what "golf is now" should be implemented. Especially by staff. If you are below a 12 handicap this place isn't for you, but for a bachelor party it is a...
