Once Upon A Time — Local services in Broken Bow

Came into the shop looking for some good deals and over all they do, however honoring them is another question....tried to buy a necklace from them that was clearly, handwritten by the owner, labeled $45.99 with a original retail price of $95.99 on the same said label. when i went to check it out as a Christmas gift they told me my total was $100. I had to then kindly point out the label that they put on and the price they wrote down was not $100, but 45.99...come to find out after a little prying that the lady checking me out was the owner, and it was her own handwriting that she "didn't see the actual price" on. WATCH THESE LADIES LIKE HAWKS! THEY ARE NOT AFFRAID TO CHARGE FULL RETAIL WHEN THEY ARENT...

Love this place... if you can catch them when they are open. 3rd time I've came by during "business hours" and nobody is around. Passing thru this morning and had a few minutes to kill and was about 20 minutes before they opened so I decided to wait for them thinking surely somebody would show up anytime. Maybe get in early even if I'm lucky. Here it is 40 minutes later and no signs of life still. Extremely frustrating! Like I said though, once you're inside it's a cool antique store. Finding places in the Hochatown area that actually have OLD stuff to browse was a challenge but OUAT had some great REAL vintage, antique, and collectible items. The place is not huge and there’s not a ton of large furniture pieces but most of the prices were reasonable and the majority of the items were not junk. It was the only store we found that wasn’t mostly yard sale junk or “vintage” items you could probably otherwise find at Cracker Barrel or Buccee’s.
