I visited Mitchell Park on a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon with my granddaughters. There were other families enjoying this amazing park and playground today. Loads of parking available along with porta-potty facilities. There are well marked trails to walk to enjoy the trees and wildlife. Kids were attracted to play area and the challenge of running up and rolling down the grassy hill. There is pavilions, benches and picnic tables scattered around park. Read moreThere aren't any really public restrooms here. Very dog friendly, but beware, the self-absorbed keep them off leash, and don't pick up after them. So steer clear of the narcissists with loose aggressive/wild dogs and dog poop. If you tell them about leash laws they make up excuses about how their dog is excellent and they're too special for leash laws, as their dog is charging you and your dog. If you tell them to pick up the poop, they'll deny it as it's coming out, or ignore you like it doesn't exist. Other than that, great playground and dog park. Good paved and unpaved trails.
