I visited Mitchell Park on a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon with my granddaughters. There were other families enjoying this amazing park and playground today. Loads of parking available along with porta-potty facilities. There are well marked trails to walk to enjoy the trees and wildlife. Kids were attracted to play area and the challenge of running up and rolling down the grassy hill. There is pavilions, benches and picnic tables scattered around park. A fenced in dog park is also available on opposite side of hill. Great for dog owners, but also completely separate from park for safety. Love this park for convenient location in...

There aren't any really public restrooms here. Very dog friendly, but beware, the self-absorbed keep them off leash, and don't pick up after them. So steer clear of the narcissists with loose aggressive/wild dogs and dog poop. If you tell them about leash laws they make up excuses about how their dog is excellent and they're too special for leash laws, as their dog is charging you and your dog. If you tell them to pick up the poop, they'll deny it as it's coming out, or ignore you like it doesn't exist. Other than that, great playground and dog park. Good paved and unpaved trails. Great place to...

The dog park is well maintained and there is plenty of space to explore. Lucky loves getting into “trouble” on the trails where dogs are allowed off leash. I’ve met many friendly people!!

I’ve noticed on just a few occasions that some dog owners don’t appear to be watching their dogs closely, which has made me feel slightly uncomfortable. However, there is so much space that I’m always able to remove myself and my dog and go to a separate area that is far away without any difficulties :) The fall season has been beautiful with the...

Usually go for the dog park. Large, open spaces for both large and small dogs. A lot of people dknt obey the "dogs must be on leash outside of exercise area" rule, and its frustrating. Good park with a lot of trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and the performing arts center. Good place to spend an afternoon with your dog, or your kids.

One of my favorite spots to go on a walk! The trails are long and are great for bird watching and nature enthusiasts. When I take my daughter I like that there are 2 playgrounds. One geared for smaller children like my 21 month old and one for bigger kids. A beautiful destination any time of year.
