Julie in the bookstore is rude and unprofessional. They messed up my order, was charged for books I didn't have in my cart, and was very confusing and she kept trying to shove me out the door. Another lady at the desk was on her phone doing nothing important, I stood in line for 15 minutes and finally a nice gentleman asked if I needed help. Unfortunately he couldn't help but I do appreciate there being one nice person in that place. Also the guy who stands outside of the store all day who was also very rude, pushy, and made me feel really unwelcome. He shouted at me for walking up to the door and said I had to go through the line. Give him another job!! The people at the front desk are very nice and all the greeters they had on 8/27/2018 were very welcoming. Keep in mind many students were beginning their first day. So I expected to feel welcomed and accepted. The campus store is a total joke, and I wish I didn't have to give them another penny. I will be following up with the school to report...

The Culinary Arts program at Hennepin Tech is in dire straits and I cannot currently recommend taking courses there. For whatever reason, the core hands-on instructors left before the time I started courses for the Associates Degree in Fall Semester 2021. My experiences there were inadequate to the point I had to withdraw a quarter of the way through the third semester. In an effort to be concise (and without exaggeration): some of the instructors are willfully and deliberately not teaching the courses outlined by the administration, and do not participate in their own classes. If I could get my money back, I would. Give them a few years to figure out what it is they're doing...

The bookstore is a joke! Rent your books online. Don’t bother with the hassle of getting them through the college. Waste of money and they never buy back the books. This past semester for 2020 they said my books had no value, but they sure sold them to me at a hefty value of almost $300 just 4 months ago! The overall communication from this school is terrible! Their internet barely worked and their printers are older than dirt. The equipment used for training is the original from the 70s so once we actually get into our jobs we will be clueless and have to be retrained on up to date equipment.
