Dollar General — Local services in Brooklyn

Truthfully one of the worst experiences in a store i have ever had. I took my handicapped grandmother to this store because she wanted to buy some things. They have a nice selection of things to buy, however, the problem comes in the overall presentation of the store. There was not a single isle, save for one or 2, that my grandmothers wheelchair could make it through. There were so many temporary carts for employees to use for putting inventory away that I physically could not push her anywhere at all in the store. There seemed to be only one employee in the store and I felt bad for the guy because he was working his absolute best to try to tend to all the customers needs and also do his daily tasks at the same time. In summary, please clean up your isles to allow for better access to the store and if possible please keep a few more people on staff to help the one who was working his butt off and this store would probably be closer...

The employees are very nice! Extremely helpful and always in a good mood! The only thing is that the AC has not been working and I've called their corporate line several times and have not heard back. The store associates stated their boss has already submitted 4 complaints about this issue and still hasn't heard anything. It's easily 95 degrees in the building. The poor associates are visibly uncomfortable and sweating. As soon as I walked in I wanted to leave. I feel so bad for them. Personally, I am very sensitive to the heat and I almost passed out in the bathroom because it was so hot. Talk about a potential lawsuit. This needs to be fixed ASAP or someone is going to get hurt. Waited in line for 15 minutes, no joke, while the manager “trained” the new employee but all she was doing was ringing up a $150 grocery purchase $25 at a time so she could use the $5 off coupon multiple times. No one is line was even attempting to social distance so I walked out and will never go back. There is hardly ever a checker at the register, you always have to search them out and ask to be checked out. It’s the most frustrating place...
