I've been going here since I was a kid. It was the place to be when I was growing up. Owners are great people. Always Friendly and are very good with the kids. There was only one time I wasn't impressed. Took the kids skating a few months ago. It was a friday night and very busy. Way over max capacity for safety. They actually didn't have a pair of skates my size available that weren't in need of some serious repair. I had already paid for 4 kids and myself. There was some confusion between husband/wife owners when I asked for them to either refund the money I had paid or give me some type of credit for the next time I come. Husband owner was all set to give me a refund when he was glared at and "corrected" by wife. Rolling her eyes, and with a very rude tone she told me "we dont do refunds" . To which I replied, " look lady I'm not trying to rip you off I do actually enjoy coming here a lot with my children I'm not trying to cause any problems between you and your husband or have you change up your rules for one customer. This is why I suggested giving me a credit for the next time I come . I was told I should wait it out until anyone leaving returned skates in my size. To sum it up I waited another I'd say 20 minutes which wasn't a long wait for a pair of skates that had no ankle support whatsoever, laces were not near long enough , wheels were messed up, and they had no insole. I skated with my kids for about 15 mins after that before I decided it would be too dangerous for me to be wearing those in that condition. I had hoped that there would be a protocol followed or that they would have one implemented at least in cases such as mine. You cant keep a business running on a " tough luck" policy. All it takes to make your whole operation come crashing down is "one" mistreated customer. Despite my disappointment I have gone back since and still give a five...
Read moreBrush Roller Rink is a wonderful place for all kinds of people and can have you entertained for hours.
There are many upsides to this establishment that gives it a good name:
Firstly, there are many different sizes of skates to choose from that give you great customization for you feet.
Second, there are many customizations you can make to make skating easier for beginners or those who struggle to skate. These customizations include having the skates tightened which will make it so the skates aren't able to go as fast and they have a bit more traction when standing still. You can also get a rolling stand for stability which can keep you from falling down most of the time.
Now for the downside:
I personally find the rule that no outside drink or food being allowed goes a bit beyond what most establishments would do. You literally cannot bring ANY food or drinks (which includes water). Even though this is just so that you have to buy drinks and food from their concession stand I still think that this goes a little too far.
The next downside is that there is no locks on the doors (which I have heard about in other reviews). I'm very disappointed in the lack of locks on the bathroom doors since it would be extremely easy to install sliding locks.
Despite the downsides, I still think that the Brush Roller Rink shows that even without being perfect you can still have a great...
