Traveling this weekend and I heard that Brush, CO had a great steak house. Sure enough, just a couple miles off of the 76 Business route I could a restaurant off on the left of the road. At first I didn't think it was open. Only one vehicle in the parking lot. I peered in through the door and didn't really see anyone. I went back outside to take some photos ๐ธ of the business and an older man came partially out the door and told me they were open. I finished outside and in I went. The interior was themed with John Wayne and I only saw about 8 tables. The lights are very low and the atmosphere was quiet. The gentleman brought me a water and soon after a waitress appeared. I had fried sliced dill pickles for an appetizers. YUM ๐ I ordered from The Littleton Pilgrim section. I ordered the 4oz Top Sirloin Dinner extremely well done. My sides were steak fries and fresh green beans and home made rolls. My steak was cooked perfect for me and the fries and green beans were so fresh. The rolls were a little over done but very flavorable. A little pricy for dinner but great food and service. $$$$ The interior is vintage dated with, hard to see ๐ with just old low lights hanging. Heavily decorated with John Wayne items and old jukebox off to the side of the bar. ๐บ Great place to reminisce and enjoy...
ย ย ย Read moreC'mon other reviewers...I sense some people here want the same thing they get in Denver and are not being quite fair. The interior decor is strongly Wayne as others have pointed out but i kind of figured with the name of the place and was not shocked to not see Metallica posters and fish tanks. It is not dirty or filthy as others would have you believe and the staff was more then courteous and prompt. I had a Sirloin and my wife got the chicken fried Chicken and both were tasty and were healthy Country size portions. If I wanted glitz, loud music, 25 different big screen TV's, fancy drinks, and the likes I would go to a bigger town. I grew up in Denver and was glad to leave it. We would prefer to give it 3-1/2 stars but since that is not an option my wife and I will go four here especially compared to other local options and to offset the up nose reviews. If they made a few tweeks to the menu and seasoned the excellent cuts of steak a little better then it would be a solid four. We...
ย ย ย Read moreI've only visited this establishment twice and I can say that the food was at the least good and at best quite delicious. The atmosphere is somewhat quiet and rather enjoyable with a massive amount of John Wayne memorabilia displayed. There is a bar there are steaks and what more could you ask in the steakhouse. The owners being on hand and at times serving food are readily available for comments, suggestions, and any issues that may arise. I am aware that the steaks and chops are purchased from a local abattoir and the owners do know their cuts of meat, serving up vittles nice and fresh and delicious. Insofar as restaurants offered in the town of Brush this in my opinion would be a good place to enjoy American style food. Did I mention John Wayne? The place is silly with him and anyone who enjoys the Duke should stop here at the very least for a...
