We had to use the shuttle because it wasn't alowed to park our 31 foot motorhome in the parking areas that are within the national park, and the overflow parking was full with no place for RV's - its really anoying: there are many national parks (Yellowstone, Yosemite, Acadia, Banff...) that let RV's travel and park within the national park like any other car with no problems - in here its not RV friendly (there are campgrounds within the park with no hookups that cost around 30$ a night - we stayed in one - but had to check out in 11:00). Anyway, because in the small parking near the visitor center has no place for the RV, we had to park few miles away (outside the national park) and take the shuttle from there. And although we wanted to hike from the sunrise point (which is near the intrance), we had to go full drive with the shuttle (all the way to the end of Bryce canyon and back to the entrance) in order to get to our point - it was very frastraiting for us and for the kids. Shuttle was crowded. The hike itself was wanderful and Bryce canyon is most beautifull !!! But you can add few parkings within the park and allow RV's park there. It...
Read moreEverybody should ride the Bryce Canyon Shuttle. The shuttle runs from April thru October. Don't even bother driving your own car into the park unless you are planning to stay overnight. Just board the shuttle at the shuttle station on the park boundary because you can't see much of the park from the road anyway. Shuttles will take you to all the best view points and attractions and the drivers are VERY helpful and knowledgeable. Most of them are locals and they are a wealth of information.
Best part of riding the shuttle is waving and laughing at all the idiots who will be stuck in traffic, or circling the full parking lots endlessly, thus hampering the enjoyment of everybody's vacation, because they insisted on driving...
Read moreWe rode the shuttle friday. Oct 16, was supposed to limit passengers to 20, with masks mandated. A rude disrespectful man demanded his family be permitted to board, even though driver only had 2 spaces due to covid restrictions. The driver allowed he and his ugly family aboard without masks, i asked them to mask up, the second employee handed them 5 masks, all refused. They exposed the entire bus, were rude and should have been thrown off. No wonder utah has so many cases. Few people distanced or wore masks on trails. Shame on Bryce shuttle to expose passengers for...
