We were a little hesitant coming here based on the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was! The diner was not at all crowded, quite the opposite of the other restaurant in the same area. We ordered our food and found ourselves a nice little booth. The diner has the interior of a typical 70s diner - small tables, colorful bench type chairs. The menu is decent, but not the typical long menu characteristic of a diner. We got the 14 inch combination pizza for the two of us. In hindsight, a 7 inch pizza would also have been more than sufficient. The pizza was freshly made and quite solid in terms of taste and technique. The crust was perfect, not too thin, not too thick. There were tons of toppings. The only drawback was the lack of chili flakes and cheese packets anywhere in the diner. The lady at the counter was very nice and friendly. The pizza was cheap and lasted us two meals. We highly recommend coming here for pizza.

I've ordered the Chicken Basket and Shrimp Basket. The shrimp basket is better than the chicken, but honestly, neither is great. The pizzas appear to be the best thing on the menu. The fries aren't good; they're not crispy and often undercooked. The cookie is packaged, but soft and chewy. The service has always been helpful (and friendliness depends on who's at the counter). It's a casual diner setting, and there are some great outdoor tables that are typically in the shade - wind is the big variable. I haven't been impressed with the food here, and the prices are about the same as the Cowboy Buffet Steak Room next door, and you get a better experience there. To me, it's a no-brainer, just go to the steak room.

Not often am I unable to finish a dish, this is the exception. I recommend going to the general store and getting some microwave food and saving yourself the stomach issues and violation of your mouth here. Something was simply off with the tastes. Old. Stale. Or simple not properly stored, rotated, cleaned or stored. Worked in kitchens my whole life. Not sure what is going on here but there is no… interest in the food by the people? Anyway, I don’t recommend this place. Many items not in stock, but that’s understandable. Maybe update the menus when that happens. Veggie Sandwich is fridge-stale bread with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cheese. Not worth what they charge. Customer service was great.

You can tell this is a tourist area. These prices for what you get are trash. I ordered a “steak” sandwich combo for myself. Steak in quotations because it was more of a mushroom sandwich with some steak in it. The cheese was terrible. The bread was stiff enough you’d think it’s toasted but it’s not, or if it is then it was way too dry to begin with. The fries were cooked pretty good, great consistency, but no seasoning; just bland. My wife ordered a hot dog for $11.50. It was just a normal hot dog and bun. Not even jumbo. My boys got the pizza; bland. Couldn’t hardly taste the sauce, the cheese was rubbery, and the dough was dense and tasteless. If you want a brick in your stomach when you get done eating, get the pizza. Even the server put the dishes on the edge of the counter closer to her, without even sliding them toward me. When I pick up the large pizza, she stands there and looks at me as I’m waiting for her to slide my order to me. Instead of sliding it to me, though, she acts like it’s a chore, picks it up and hands it to me. Handing it to me would have been good, except the attitude was...

My husband and I decided to eat at the Canyon Diner while staying at Ruby's Inn because we weren't hungry for a big dinner and it was disappointing. Granted, it may have been what we ordered, but it really was NOT good. You order at the counter and wait for your number to be called.

We were going to order a couple of Rice Bowls - one Teriyaki Chicken and one Orange Chicken, but they were out of the Orange Chicken, so we went with one Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. When the food was ready, we discovered that the Teriyaki Rice Bowl was a small styrofoam container of white rice with pieces of dark meat chicken in a little teriyaki sauce. It was pretty bad.

My grilled cheese sandwich was literally cheese between two slices of toasted white bread. It didn't appear to have been grilled in butter or anything. It just was not good at all.

In hindsight, I wish we had just ordered burgers or something like that (or just headed out of town to find another restaurant) - it might have been...

We ordered a hot dog, pastrami, raspberry smoothie, and kids nuggets (the menu doesn't mention it's only 4 pieces, so we ended up ordering more without the kids meal, which is 8 pieces). they were out of burgers and strawberry smoothies at the time. the food wasn't that great, especially for what it costs. but we were more disappointed with the service.

kids meals come with bags with activities on it (e.g., a word search and maze, like happy meals). we asked for one more empty bag for the kids to fill out the activities but they said no. we couldn't even just pay for an extra bag. we had to buy a whole kids meal again to get the bag, which was a bummer. I'm not leaving 1 star bc the lady who works there seems nice. the guy was not

the venue was fine. it's organized like a typical fast food restaurant where you order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. there were plenty of seats and parking. from what others ordered, the pizza might be the more popular...
