Rainbow Point is a fantastic spot to visit in Bryce Canyon National Park and marks the end of the park’s scenic drive. There are no roads beyond this point, which gives it a sense of being at the edge of the world. The parking area is ample, and there are restrooms available, making it a convenient stop.
At nearly 9,000 feet, Rainbow Point is the highest point in the park, offering sweeping views of the southern hoodoos and beyond. From here, you can see famous landmarks like Navajo Mountain and the vast Kaibab Plateau in the distance, making it an ideal spot for photography and panoramic views. The altitude adds a unique perspective to the landscape, making the colors of the rocks and the surrounding forests stand out even more.
There are a few short trails starting from this point, such as the Bristlecone Loop Trail, which we skipped due to being tired. However, if you're up for a walk, these trails offer a closer look at the unique plant life and geology of the area.

Still loving the far-off views from the height of Rainbow Point and the many and varied colors. This is the final shuttle stop at this end of the Park for those who chose to ride the shuttle. Shuttles are not mandatory, but favored by those who would rather not drive. Trailheads take off in...
Read moreSo beautiful and aptly named. When I visited, it was 20 degrees with 30 mph winds, and the winds were o structed by nothing being that Rainbow Point is the highest point of Bryce Canyon. I was not prepared for the extreme conditions, so I wasnt able to hike any of the trails. However, the views alone were worth the drive to the highest point and end of the Bryce Canyon line. The vibrant oranges of the hoodoos, combined with the purples, greens, and blues, of the distant mountain ranges was...
