Rainbow Point is a fantastic spot to visit in Bryce Canyon National Park and marks the end of the park’s scenic drive. There are no roads beyond this point, which gives it a sense of being at the edge of the world. The parking area is ample, and there are restrooms available, making it a convenient stop.

At nearly 9,000 feet, Rainbow Point is the highest point in the park, offering sweeping views of the southern hoodoos and beyond. From here, you can see famous landmarks like Navajo Mountain and the vast Kaibab Plateau in the distance, making it an ideal spot for photography and panoramic views. The altitude adds a unique perspective to the landscape, making the colors of the rocks and the surrounding forests stand out even more.

There are a few short trails starting from this point, such as the Bristlecone Loop Trail, which we skipped due to being tired. However, if you're up for a walk, these trails offer a closer look at the unique plant life and geology of the area.

Overall, Rainbow Point was a peaceful and scenic stop, offering stunning views without the crowds you find at some of the more popular viewpoints. It’s definitely worth the drive to the end of the park, and the wide-open vistas make it a perfect spot to soak in the beauty of...

Rainbow Point, Milepost 18, is at the end of the Park Drive, and adjacent to Yovimba Point. It is the highest of the park's viewpoints at 9,115 feet and the views are high and allow one to see into the distance. There were no rainbows at Rainbow Point this day, but there was a Pluto-headed dog hoo-doo, one gorilla, and at least one storm-trooper in my photos! Still loving the far-off views from the height of Rainbow Point and the many and varied colors. This is the final shuttle stop at this end of the Park for those who chose to ride the shuttle. Shuttles are not mandatory, but favored by those who would rather not drive. Trailheads take off in...

So beautiful and aptly named. When I visited, it was 20 degrees with 30 mph winds, and the winds were o structed by nothing being that Rainbow Point is the highest point of Bryce Canyon. I was not prepared for the extreme conditions, so I wasnt able to hike any of the trails. However, the views alone were worth the drive to the highest point and end of the Bryce Canyon line. The vibrant oranges of the hoodoos, combined with the purples, greens, and blues, of the distant mountain ranges was...

One day in Bryce Canyon National Park: 🎒Hike into the amphitheater - several trails lead into the canyon for up close views of hoodoos & natural tunnels / top trail suggestion: Navajo Loop & Queen’s Garden - 2.9 mile loop trail with views of Sunrise & Sunset Points and famous hoodoos like Thor’s Hammer & Queen Victoria 🚙 Drive the 18 mile scenic drive - offering 13 pull-offs for overlooks & trailheads / top must-stops: Natural Bridge (incredible natural arch with views of hoodoos) & Yovimpa Point (views of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument) - during summer months there is a shuttle that runs down the scenic drive 🌅 Watch the sunset at Sunset Point - accurately named, this point offers incredible colors setting over the hoodoos and amazing panoramic views into the canyon (Navajo Trail starts at this spot) ✨ Star-gaze - Bryce Canyon is an International Dark Sky Park & offers views of the milky way & thousands of stars / pro-tip: Park Rangers host astronomy & night sky programs including constellation tours (programs are free but be sure to make a reservation) Is Bryce Canyon National Park on your list? (videos in order: Sunrise Point, Navajo Trail, Thor’s Hammer, Queens Garden Trail, Rainbow Point, Sunset Point) #BryceCanyonNationalPark #BryceCanyon #NationalPark #NationalParkWeek #OptOutside #HikeUtah #hiking
