This store had a package delived to my house by mistake. It was supposed to go to the previous owner of our house. We immediately let them know we had the package. We were nice enough to store it until the next Monday until it could be picked up. Yesterday which was the following Tuesdays I called the store and told them they has until late 8pm to get this huge box office my front porch as it was in our way and I did not want to be responsible for someone else's property. The person on the phone (Hal)was extremely rude and condescending to me. He then proceeded to blame the previous owners that they provided the wrong shipping address. It turns out they ordered in store and Hal failed to verify the address. They haven't lived here in 7 months so I find it hard to believe they wanted the package delived to my house. Not only was he extremely rude to me but he also thew his customers under the bus. This all could have been avoided by him simply being understanding of my frustration and being respectful on the phone. I will never shop there and I would highly recommend you...
   Read moreIt's an easy 50 min. drive to Buffalo. They have a pretty good selection of better furniture and the people were helpful and friendly. Our order was delayed several times due to material shortages related to Covid, which was to be expected and was beyond the dealer's control.
Our disappointment came from having to call after each missed delivery date (and we waited a week each time) to find out the status. Not until we were well past the six month mark did we get a call that was initiated by Chapman's, even then the first one was past the date. The delivery drivers were very friendly, did a great job, and were on time! These days nearly every delivery we've had in the last few years was accompanied by a call from the driver (or dispatch) to verify the address and give an approximate delivery time. Not so with Chapman. I mentioned this to one of the delivery crew, and he said our phone # was not included with the delivery info. Called owner and he sent a man out who said it was made wrong and would let the owner know. Didn’t hear back so I called and he was rude and said he would call back before 5:00. Have never heard from him again. Very dismissive. Acted like it had to be my fault. I was just being a pain. Does Not back his products!!! I have never ever had to call a business about furniture so they must not sell a good line. This was a 650.00 recliner not the cheapest out there....
