Goodwill of Western New York — Local services in Buffalo

Since they reopened after Covid-19. They only allow you to shop 1 hour (30 people at a time). Then you are asked to leave the store for 30-45 min and wait outside till they put new bins out. I was very disappointed in this and unhappy (make sure you bring a folding chair to sit in as the grass and umbrella if it rains) also I would have exspected overflow of merchandise being they were overloaded at the stores when they were shut down but the bins we pretty bare. We just went today (end of June 2020). But I do have to say I was happy with the staff though. They were strict on the 6ft apart rule but I don't think we should be made to wait outside. Might be easier if they rope off half the store when they put new BINS instead to keep the staff safe. Or they need to find a better way customers who come out are shopping at their own risk anyways not the store. No other stores are limiting the time allowed to shop unless it's closing early. We're almost phase 4...

I purchased vintage china dishes from this store on shopgoodwill.çom. It arrived with multiple broken pieces. The box had two large holes stamped that it had arrived at the post office in this condition. They didn’t bother writing fragile or protecting it with packing material. A lid to one piece disappeared. Once informed left it to me to take the time to collect insurance knowing that I would never collect any because they packed the box so poorly. Whoever is running this location’s social media is absolutely unhinged. Yesterday they posted a video of a dress on tik tok. A user asked where they bought it and then realized it was a post from Goodwill so obviously, it was from Goodwill. In response to this the social media team bullied them and told them they had bad style and to go to Plato’s Closet? Then when someone else called them out on their behavior they flat out blocked them. I’ve never seen such bad customer service via an online platform...
