My family and I had a great time skating here. Everyone from the staff to the other skaters were very respectful and courteous. It was busy when we went but there were zero issues. Floor was clean and smooth. Very well priced and a great change of pace for those who haven’t skated in a while or ever. We will be back.
Update: on a return visit while I was waiting in line a young girl was told to that she couldn’t skate due to her jeans shorts being frayed along the legs. It was explained to her that the frays could fall off and get tangled in someone’s skates causing them to fall. The girl was upset but left. I felt sorry for her but when I received my frayed worn skates with holes in them, I felt even worse for the young girl. After that I noticed the frayed carpet strings that are actually on the skating floor and thus causing the hazard that the girl was denied entry for. After this I noticed several other dress code violations from those whom had been allowed to skate. In my opinion if you are going to have a long list of rules then you need to make sure that you are enforcing all of them, that you are renting skates that aren’t in violation of the safety rules, and that the skating floor is free of these hazards. Finally I believe that education should be made to the staff as to the fact that some clothing is made to be frayed and due to that type of manufacturing, the frays are permanent and too difficult for young girl skating at 2 miles an hour to rip off. The isn’t the 1980’s clothing has changed and maybe this skating rink should change as well. With all that said, my family and I had fun and we...
Read moreI brought my kids here for years. Brought my grandkids for the 1st time. I don't skate anymore so I had on long jeans with some fraying on them. The lady told me I couldn't come in wearing them because there's a big yellow sign posted outside saying NO clothes with fraying. This lady made it a big point to point that fact out and told us we had to leave because of it. I literally had to leave and run to Walmart and buy leggings. We get back and in line in front of us is a girl with tiny short shorts that are frayed all around. The lady let her in!! Nothing was said. I pointed out her shorts and told the lady she literally just made me leave for that very reason. She said oh I didn't see them. But it was very obvious. She certainly saw them when I pointed them out, yet still said NOTHING! Instead of making the girl leave and change her clothes she got to go in!! Funny thing that comes to mind, I'm white and the girl that got to go in was not! Oh yeah, the lady at the window was not white either. So I guess it's okay for anyone except people like me to come in against the rules. Thanks a lot Roll-A-Bout!! You used to be better than that! Oh yeah one final thing, the sign on the wall at the window says no short shorts and yet that was also overlooked! Go figure!! I love everyone and treat them equally. Apparently, not everyone feels the same way. I appreciate being made to leave for the reason you let someone else in for. Talk about...
Read moreMy family and I will never contribute to this establishment again. I understand rules are rules but this place takes it to the extreme. I was attending a fundraiser for my daughter’s school and WAS NOT EVEN SKATING. I was denied entry and turned away at the door for a small tear below the knee on my work pants (I had to come straight from work). The obviously disgruntled attitude having lady who informed me of this ridiculous policy wouldn’t even take the time to listen to me that I was only SPECTATING just kept repeating the policy until I walked out the door. As a parent who works 60-80+ hours a week any time spent with my child is cherished and your establishment ruined that. So sorry that some people work blue collar jobs, I’m not sure I even own a pair of pants without a blemish on them somewhere. I truly could understand if I was going to be skating or walked up with something vulgar on my clothing or something inappropriate exposed but nope just a small wear/tear spot on my blue jeans that I wear to work. Now I get to explain to my child why Dad couldn’t spend the evening watching them do something they love.
From the bottom of my heart I truly thank you for completely ruining a family event.
We recently moved to Burlington and would have probably frequented your establishments as all my children love to skate. Definitely won’t be now.
I WILL TAKE MY KIDS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD TO SKATE IF IT MEANS AVOIDING YOUR...
