I read many of the old reviews. Sad to say, the park doesn't get the attention it should. There have been no improvements in years. The poop stations are all rusted out and don't get emptied often enough. People do not clean up after their dogs. We are not allowed to have pools for the dogs to cool off in the summer. In s struggle to visit the dog park during baseball season. Parking is taken up by all vehicles for baseball including the trailers that sell merchandise. Drinking of alcohol is condoned by the park management. Dog park people know nothing will change because the dog park doesn't bring in money like the baseball parks. If you want to visit a dog that is being upgraded go to Elons Beth Schmidt Dog Park. They care about the dog park. They have installed new seating new dog waste receptacles and some doggie activity things.

My pup and I had an excellent first visit here. We went to both the small/rehab dog and big dog sides of the park and both were clean and well cared-for. The water fountains are a big plus. The dogs and humans we met were friendly and well-behaved. One of the people was very familiar with the park and said that there is a core group of families who keep the park clean and safe for everyone. I look forward to our next trips.

I've been going here for over 7 yrs... I go 4 days a week. Many people say it's the best around. It's 1 acre, entry area, small and LG dog sides. Water foutains and the patrons bring bowls. Regulars r there weeknights. Some morning people. Rules r posted on board as u enter. We all try to get along and understand the dogs in training.

I visited the park for my first time in months and before I approached the gates , a lady who said she works for the park comes out and tells my dog needs to have a rabies tag.I told her i had one but just finish bathing my dog. Then tells me I need to move my dog and walk it around or somewhere outside the park so she can take her dog out of the car. Rude and not a way to talk to someone but no problem I call my wife and she brings my tags. Then I again walk towards the gate and she runs up and ask for my tags and then tells me I need to fill out forms now and also tells me my dog is the wrong temperament to bring in and she needs to inspect him and then say You need to get him away. I am highly upset because my dog has NEVER hurt anyone and I have came there plenty of times never had a problem with her playing or being around any size dog. I understand there are rules to the park but there is a way to approach people and treat them tactfully and ask for information. I had my tags and didnt mind filling out the (free forms) but the way me and my dog was judged and treated was completely...

I took my dog to this park three other dogs started to jump on my dog and my dog is a male and one of the dogs tried to mount my dog this was a very akward situation the owner of the dog was talking to a female and not paying the dog any attention my fiance had to take the dog off of my dog with the chance of getting bitten herself lucky my dog isn't an aggressive dog or the situation could have turned it a dog fight , I'm very disappointed we just wanted to take our dog to the park around other dogs to have some fun and interaction with other dogs and there also should be some supervisorion from someone at the park so they don't allow dogs that are not friendly in the park and owners that don't watch their dog's. Very disappointed don't think I'll be back to this park until...
