I'm honestly not sure how this place has such great reviews, unless I just got a bad apartment. I moved into a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in September of 2020. Rent was reasonable considering the area. We loved the layout and space of the apartment and were excited to move in. Once the weather got cold, everything changed.

The apartments have heat pump systems, which work well in warmer climates. Not so much for cold Indiana weather. Our heat pump didn't work and wouldn't maintain the temperature - thermostat set at 73 and apartment would only get to 65. After several maintenance requests, and them changing out almost every part in the heat pump, it still wouldn't work. This was even after calling out the only guy on staff that specialized in heat pumps. We gave up and turned on emergency heat - which resulted in $400+ electric bills for November through February. There was also a plumbing problem where every time the people upstairs ran their garbage disposal, it ended up coming up our kitchen sink. Once again, maintenance came out but this was never fixed properly.

The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. Unfortunately, we got the apartment with kids above us who would run instead of walk through the apartment. Constant running. After writing a nice note asking them to please quiet down, this neighbor complained to the office about us. We also had a neighbor on the other side of us who fought with her boyfriend loudly almost every night for a month straight (until he moved out).

We finally broke our lease due to the high electric bill (and buying a house) and moved out at the end of February. We left the apartment in better shape than when we moved in (bathrooms and kitchen were dirty at move in). Yet, we were still charged a carpet cleaning fee. We had no pets and were only in the apartment for 6 months. I'm not sure how the carpet could have been that dirty.

I'm disappointed because the apartments themselves really are beautiful and in a great location - close to shopping and the interstate. The office staff are very nice, and we really liked our building manager. There is so much potential here that is being wasted. My advice would be to hire better maintenance staff or consider switching out to...

This place is one of the best apartments I've lived at, among a litany of dwellings in Washington D.C. and Phoenix, AZ. I have received courteous and professional treatment through each phase of my residence at Traditions Apartment Homes, to the point that I felt like I was receiving special treatment. I have only lived in the Midwest for a short time, but the staff and their service have helped me make this place my home. I'm very happy living here and have been thoroughly accommodated each time I have brought up an issue.

Here are some examples (since I like to lead with the data) of the staff's hard work to make sure I was taken care of: 1) Staff bringing packages to the inside of my 2nd story apartment, only with my permission while I was not home. 2) Phone calls to let me know about package arrivals. 3) Frequent communications posted in the hallways to inform me well ahead of time when services would be performed for the community. 4) Small get togethers in the community lobby for residents to attend. The list goes on, and I encourage you to experience for yourself what this community can offer.

And for the curious, I don't get paid to do this, I'm not incentivized, I wasn't pressured, nada. I just live here and was asked nicely over the phone to leave a review after almost a year of being here. This is how I really feel and if you want to feel this way to about your new apartment, let's...

Rent is a little pricey but I wouldn't want to rent anywhere else. I absolutely love the staff, Sparkles aka Julie, Sunshine aka Ann Marie and Bob the Builder aka Bob. My Great-Grandson loves to go visit them and waves at Bob everytime he drives by and loves it when he comes to do any work. They are very prompt about repairs, changing light bulbs, etc. We take advantage of the pool. Unfortunately have never used the fitness center (even though we need to). There are no issuse as far as criminal activity. Police on Property. Friendly neighbors. Great community. Feel...
