I always go to this location multiple times a week for small things we forget to buy. I visited this morning around 10:45 and a lady was checking everyone out. I usually use self checkout because I don’t want to feel like a bother. But self checkout was not working today. So on with what happened. I asked her if I could do separate transactions to make sure my coupons come off. Well her body language showed she was not wanting to but did. Well, on to the second… She rings it up and I pay. She turns the wheel on the bagging area and the soap falls onto the floor. She is upset and shows it by not answering my questions. So I ask her if she has paper towels and I will help her clean it up. No answer. I leave it alone. I tell her I’m going to leave the buggy as it is so I don’t track the soap out. She doesn’t answer. I proceed to say did you hear me? (In a nice way) she doesn’t answer but as I stand there and wait for a respond she shook her head yes. I just don’t understand how you can be so rude to someone for something that YOU dropped.Sadly, all the other workers are so sweet and welcoming and she even was before this day. I don’t know if she just had a bad day. I won’t be going back at least while...
Read moreHighly offended. I visited the store for a half gallon of milk but decided to pick up some shampoo. After searching the correct aisle with no luck, I figured maybe this Dollar General doesn't carry hair products for people of a certain ethnicity. As I'm walking to the check-out counter, there are the hair products I'm looking for behind the counter. I asked the cashier for access to the products, and she politely moved the buggies and boxes out of the way. Of course, I'm offended because the products are behind the counter, while products that mostly other racial backgrounds use are on the shelf. I understand, people steal. To may knowledge, people of all races steal. But yet, only the products that are used mostly by African-Americans were behind the counter. To add insult to injury, this Dollar General is located in an area heavily populated by Caucasian individuals. So the message this place is sending is "we have a problem with black people stealing." Imagine my embarrassment mixed with disguise for having to ask the cashier for shampoo. There has to be a better way of stopping shoplifting without using the method of...
Read moreThere were prices marked on shelves that did NOT ring up the same at register. The buy two get one FREE did not ring up! I mentioned it and it was ignored. The drinks that were advertised for 95 cents each did NOT ring up correctly. The 20 ounce Coke products were 2 for 2.00 on cooler door. They rang up 1.80 each! Rediculous!!! I have to use gas to go back tomorrow to take all these things back that didn't ring up correctly. I spent almost 100.00 and WON'T go back to this Dollar General. It was clean. It was SO HOT in the store you couldn't breathe. I refuse to shop somewhere that I am miserable. I can stand...
